Top U.S. conservative conference bans pro-family Christian group and approves homosexualist group

By Julio Severo
The Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), the oldest and largest annual “conservative” conference in America, has abruptly banned pro-family group MassResistance as an exhibitor at its national meeting for Feb. 21-24 while permitting the homosexualist group Log Cabin Republicans to remain. Log Cabin Republicans is a wing of homosexual militants in the Republican Party. See Log Cabin Republicans in homosexual actions here: https://youtu.be/saztH0Xl9zc

CPAC had officially approved MassResistance in January, but days ago CPAC Executive Director Dan Schneider disinvited the organization. CPAC justified its decision citing the group’s Biblical approach to fighting the culture war — particularly the transgender agenda in public schools.
With MassResistance banned from the exhibitor’s hall roster, no exclusively pro-family, pro-marriage groups will be present at CPAC.
“For the past three years — including this year — the radical homosexual group Log Cabin Republicans (LCR) has been a sponsor and exhibitor at CPAC,” explained Brian Camenker, founder and president of MassResistance. “Prior to that, another homosexual group called GOProud was an official exhibitor in 2009 and 2010.”
“LCR pushes hard to homosexualize the Republican Party and have LGBT officials and judges appointed,” continued Camenker. “They fight for LGBT ‘anti-discrimination’ laws that are used to punish Christian businesses. They’ve pushed hard to force open homosexuality — and recently transgenders — into the U.S. military. They placed an ad in USA Today to strongly denounce the 2016 GOP platform committee for supporting traditional marriage. They brag that they are ‘creating change.’”
It’s not only the presence of pro-homosexuality and transgender groups at CPAC that worries the MassResistance founder.
“In 2016 and 2017 the group Atheist Voter had a table at CPAC,” said Camenker. “In 2015, its parent organization, American Atheists, was granted a main stage speech. The group pushes for God-less government policies, removal of ‘Christian ideology’ from all government, repeal of religious exemptions from onerous LGBT laws, and more reporting requirements on churches. They also support the LGBT agenda, abortion ‘rights,’ and are ‘fighting abstinence-only until marriage sex education.’”
“It is unconscionable that a self-styled conservative organization like CPAC would ban a sponsorship table for a leading pro-family group like MassResistance — while allowing the homosexual activist Log Cabin Republicans to sponsor a table at the same conference,” said Peter LaBarbera, founder and president of Americans For Truth About Homosexuality (AFTAH). Interestingly, the precursor of AFTAH was launched at a CPAC gathering 25 years ago.
“This is upside-down,” continued LaBarbera. “It is Log Cabin Republicans, which crusades for homosexual ‘marriage,’ that is undermining conservatism. I call on CPAC and its CEO Matt Schlapp to reverse this awful decision.”
LaBarbera said veteran social conservative Camenker is a “brave, pro-family hero.”
“Brian has been fighting the radical gay and transgender agenda for decades, and has never wavered. He certainly deserves better than to have his good name sullied and his group expelled by CPAC.”
“CPAC needs to stop pandering to LGBTQ advocates and make this right. Banning pro-moral voices is a tactic of the Left, not the Right,” he added.
“It is simply unconscionable for a ‘conservative’ organization to welcome in homosexual activists while banishing the leading national grassroots organization fighting the LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Queer) lobby. That is why I have called on the American Conservative Union, which runs CPAC, to reverse its decision and allow MassResistance to have a booth. AFTAH’s predecessor, the newsletter Lambda Report, was launched at CPAC 25 years ago, so this latest politically correct absurdity really hurts personally. As we predicted, out-and-proud homosexuality is now corrupting conservatism and Christianity; it is incompatible with both.”
When the ban of MassResistance became a scandal after it was denounced by LaBarbera, LifeSiteNews and other pro-life websites, CPAC invited the Family Research Council (FRC) to have a booth, as a last-minute strategy to cover up its scandalous ban against MassResistance. This strategy hardly helps CPAC, because if FRC will be present as a conservative group against the homosexual agenda, why is there no room for many other excellent conservative groups fighting the homosexual agenda? This is a bigger scandal, because it is inconceivable that the “biggest conservative conference” in America has not invited all the major conservative groups in America. In fact, after hearing of the action against MassResistance, Peter LaBarbera applied and paid for an Exhibitors Booth at CPAC. He had to pay 2,000 dollars. If there is a Christian conservative leader who deserves to be a speaker and much more in CPAC is LaBarbera. Yet, he has received no answer from CPAC after several days.
The annual CPAC event in Washington, DC has been a very big deal for conservatives since its inception, attracting thousands of conservative-minded people from across the country each year. It’s where Republican candidates and other major conservative political figures come to speak and be seen – everyone, from Presidents Ronald Reagan to Donald Trump; Conservative Senators like Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio; and media icons such as Sean Hannity and Mark Levin.
Many of the conference speakers, such as former New Mexico Governor Gary Johnson (speaking this year), are pro-LGBT Libertarians. Marijuana legalization groups were CPAC exhibitors in 2015.
Sponsored by the American Conservative Union (ACU), the annual conference has been an important presence in Washington since 1973. According to its website, ACU has served for more than fifty years “as an umbrella organization harnessing the collective strength of conservative organizations fighting for Americans who are concerned with liberty, personal responsibility, traditional values, and strong national defense.”
CPAC and its parent group ACU state that they are “America’s premier conservative voice” and that “ACU defines conservatism.”
Yet, focusing on traditional marriage — the bedrock of social conservative values — seems to have less of a presence in the CPAC agenda, while LGBT ideology is finding a foothold among its “conservatives.”
Missing also is the presence of notable pro-family leaders as Franklin Graham, James Dobson, Scott Lively, Joseph Farah, William J. Murray and many others.
“Similar to the direction of the GOP establishment, in recent years CPAC has become more libertarian-oriented and pro-LGBT — and hardly any pro-family groups have had exhibits or been sponsors,” said MassResistance’s Camenker.
“Is this really what conservatism in America has become?” wonders Camenker. “What group gets to claim it defines conservatism? Is MassResistance the only pro-family group that’s publicly standing up to the powerful sexual-radical movement?”
Many conservatives had criticized CPAC for choosing Yiannopoulos as its keynote speaker because they did not see him as a traditional conservative. Instead, Yiannopoulos was seen as the figurehead of the alt-Right movement, a movement that prides itself in nationalism, which many accuse of racism and anti-Semitism.
Yet, the pro-pedophilia videos abruptly destroyed his keynote opportunity.
“Due to the revelation of an offensive video in the past 24 hours condoning pedophilia, the American Conservative Union has decided to rescind the invitation of Milo Yiannopoulos to speak at the Conservative Political Action Conference,” ACU Chairman Matt Schlapp said in a statement.
Nevertheless, CPAC has invited the homosexualist group Log Cabin Republicans. This signals a dangerous trend among U.S. conservatives. Even U.S. President Donald Trump, who is praised among conservatives for his pro-life policies, has praised Log Cabin Republicans. In fact, he chose to maintain in his administration LGBTQ activist Chai Feldblum in a major federal post. Trump’s decision was blasted by American rabbis. Feldblum had been originally appointed by Obama for her homosexual activism.
Trump has also maintained in his administration the most powerful symbol of the former Obama administration’s homosexual imperialism: the post of the Special Envoy for the Human Rights of LGBTI Persons. Many American conservatives have complained of Trump’s bad decision. LaBarbera said, “The reinstatement of Randy Berry as Special Envoy for the Human Rights of LGBTI Persons is another defeat for pro-family advocates who were counting on Trump to remove homosexual activists from the foreign affairs bureaucracy.”
Will this dangerous trend spread among conservatives?
The attempt to associate homosexuality with conservatism will produce an automatic divorce from the most important ally of conservatism: Christian values.
Conservatism can survive without homosexuality, but it cannot survive without Christian values.
The new union of nationalism and homosexuality will not destroy the homosexualist movement. It will bring the homosexualist movement into the conservative movement, giving gay militants the supreme privilege to advance their ideology through the Left and the Right at the same time. It will destroy the traditional union between the conservative movement and Bible-believing Christians in the United States.
MassResistance, which opposes homosexual indoctrination on schoolchildren, was banned from CPAC, while Log Cabin Republicans, which attacks the GOP’s stand for traditional marriage, was allowed.
What does CPAC want? To learn more lessons? More “conservative” homosexuals being exposed as Milo Yiannopoulos was?
Major conservative political figures in CPAC, including Marco Rubio, are neocons — whose ambition is to push for the U.S. military hegemony around the world, often at the expense of the very Christians values advocated by America’s Founders. Neoconservatism is corrupting CPAC.
In 2017 Trevor Loudon, an esoteric neocon, was a CPAC speaker.
Real Christian conservatives should take a stand regarding CPAC’s “conservatism.”
In solidarity to MassResistance, the Family Research Council should excuse itself from the CPAC meeting and demand a full explanation of why MassResistance and many other similar pro-family groups in America have not been officially invited for leading participation and why Log Cabin Republicans has not been banned and expelled. FRC should protest Log Cabin Republicans’s presence at CPAC.
Worse than a corrupt Left is a corrupt conservatism. From Left, you expect corruption as normal. But from conservatism, you do not expect corruption and acceptance of ideologies, including the homosexual agenda, that clash directly with the Bible values that founded America.
