Trump’s National Day of Prayer against Coronavirus

“It
is my great honor to declare Sunday, March 15th as a National Day of Prayer. We
are a Country that, throughout our history, has looked to God for protection
and strength in times like these. No matter where you may be, I encourage you
to turn towards prayer in an act of faith. Together, we will easily PREVAIL!”
Prayer
is always good.
I
do not understand all the hype on Coronavirus, because there are bigger
problems deserving more attention. But there are unanswered questions.
“646,000
people die worldwide every year from the flu; 60,000 die in the U.S. alone,
WITH vaccines. Yet barely a news headline. Reports indicate that that the
#COVID19 virus has a less than 0.4% fatality rate. So why is the media hyping
the #Coronavirus?”
“Obama’s
first year, Swine flu: 60 million Americans infected in a 10-month period,
300,000 hospitalized, 18,000 deaths. Panic: zero. All depends on who the
president is, eh?”
I
have no understanding about what is happening and why, but I understand that
God answers prayers from repentant hearts.
In
the U.S. history, national prayer went hand in hand with fasting and repentance.
Even George Washington, the first U.S. president, prayed on his knees and urged
the early America to pray on her knees in fasting and repentance. I wonder how
he would urge present America, soaked in the blood of the yearly butchery of
almost 1 million unborn babies in abortion mills, to repent and pray.
Even
though I think that it is positive for Trump to ask America to “look to God for
protection and strength,” these should never be the first steps. If Washington’s
America needed to repent before thinking in God’s protection and strength, what
about the current America?
Besides,
while Washington expelled homosexuality from his administration, Trump has
embraced in his administration homosexuality and its adherents.
While
Washington expelled homosexuals, Trump has promoted Richard Grenell and
other homosexualists. And Grenell, with Trump’s
blessings, is leading the Trump administration in the infamous
effort to legalize homosexuality around the world
— the same goal socialist President Barack Hussein Obama had.
How
then does Trump’s America intend to “look to God for protection and strength”
without repenting from abortion and homosexuality?
Trump
has absolutely nothing to learn from me. But he has a lot to learn from George
Washington and the Founding Fathers, who learned from the same Book I always
learn from: The Bible.
By
understanding America and her history, Trump would declare a National Day of
Prayer, Fasting and Repentance for the Sins of Abortion, Sodomy, Unnecessary
Wars. By no means this is a complete list, but a starting point.
