UN About to Appoint Global LGBT “Czar” Who
Will Investigate Alleged Rights Violations by Governments and Individuals
Against LGBT People
By Julio Severo
A radical UN resolution is about to be voted on by the 47 Member
States on the UN Human Rights Council (HRC) in Geneva by the end of next
Friday, July 1. The main objective of the resolution is to appoint a global LGBT “Czar” who will
investigate alleged rights violations by governments and individuals against
LGBT people.
Even though the UN resolution talks about ending violence based on sexual
orientation and gender identity and about preventing discrimination leading to
violence, the same talk has been used around the world to force same-sex
marriage, cross-gender bathroom use, LGBT “rights” indoctrination education for
children, and much more.
The global LGBT “Czar,” or “Special Rapporteur” as he
is often called at the UN, would be given the mandate to collect reports and
complaints from homosexual groups and individuals worldwide and would then use
these complaints along with the full arsenal of the UN Office of the High
Commissioner for Human Rights to pressure governments to overturn their laws
protecting marriage, family, and religious and cultural values.
Typically, homosexual groups and individuals worldwide
treat as “violence” and “discrimination” all effort to bar a legal
disfigurement of marriage and attempts to ban homosexual indoctrination on
children. Rev. Scott Lively, a Pentecostal minister, has been legally
persecuted because gay groups, with the assistance of George Soros’ socialist
legal machine, interpreted that his preaching against homosexuality equals violence.
They
are accusing Lively of “Crimes Against Humanity”! A global U.N. LGBT “Czar”
would grant victory to anti-Lively activists and would label ministers, priests
and preachers as “Criminals Against Humanity”!
Russia was vigorously condemned and ostracized by the
U.S. government and the European Union since the approval of a
Russian law banning homosexual propaganda to children and teens. A global U.N.
LGBT “Czar” would officially condemn as “criminal,” “violence” and
“discrimination” the Russian efforts to protect their children and teens from
homosexual propaganda.
In 2011, PayPal
closed my account definitively, after a campaign orchestrated by U.S.
homosexualist group AllOut. To me, PayPal explained that I am ineligible to
receive donations from my friends and readers because “you are not a registered
non-profit organization.” To AllOut, PayPal explained
that it closed my account because “We take very seriously any cases where a
user has incited hatred, violence or intolerance because of a person’s sexual
orientation.” A global U.N. LGBT “Czar” would not only side with AllOut, but
also could recommend the same denial of transactional services to Christians as
punishment for their “homophobia” — biblical views opposed to homosexual
practices.
The U.N. resolution will be voted by the 47 Member
States on the UN Human Rights Council. Among these members there are nations making
part of the “Core LGBT Group,” a group of eleven countries committed to
“concerted action” for LGBT rights. The “Core LGBT Group,” led by the U.S., is
composed by the European Union, Israel and Brazil, which will vote in the UN
Human Rights Council.
Family Watch International (FWI) has prepared a form
for you to send an email to all 47 UN Member States on the Council asking
them to oppose the resolution. To use the FWI form to ask UN ambassadors to
oppose the resolution, click
here.
The urgency of the resolution shows that the
homosexualist pressure on the UN is working.
The Orlando attack should be used by the U.S.
government to press the U.N. to condemn global Islamic violence, but it is being
used to build a global legal machine to harass and censor moral and Christian
views opposed to homosexual behavior.
Julio Severo seeks to move
Christians to daily prayer with ‘Prophetic Prayers’
Author announces release of new book utilizing Book of Proverbs
SAINT CLOUD, Fla. – With the goal to inspire Christians
to pray daily in the hope of impacting human behaviors and affairs, “Prophetic
Prayers: Daily Prayer Guide Based on the Book of Proverbs” (published by
WestBow Press, a division of Thomas Nelson & Zondervan) presents a
practical view on prayer, encouraging believers to use their prayers as a
channel for God’s intervention in their life and in the lives of other
individuals, families and authorities according to what God’s Word reveals.
“I had read in a Billy Graham book about his custom of
reading and meditating one chapter a day of the Book of Proverbs,” author Julio
Severo explains. “In that time, 27 years ago, I used to pray several hours a
day, and by reading and meditating one chapter of Proverbs, I began to
‘prophesize’ (declare in prayer) some of its verses over people and situations,
with marvelous results.”
Using the instruction found in the Book of Proverbs,
“Prophetic Prayers” teaches readers how to use their prayers to impact human
behaviors and affairs. At its core, it is a Proverbs-based handbook.
An excerpt from “Prophetic Prayers”:
Proverbs
inspires us to prophesy God’s specific will for specific situations. It also
inspires us to make creative prayers to help foster righteousness and weaken
wickedness in this world. When we prophesy Proverbs for many situations, God’s
righteousness will break forth in individuals, moving them to know and to live
God’s will.

After the worst
mass shooting in U.S. history, the U.S. government appealed on
Monday for the United Nations to unite to push for lesbian, gay, bisexual
and transgender (LGBT) rights around the world.
Samantha Powers
Missing in the U.S. push for the gay agenda in the U.N.
is the fact that Islam or Islamic terrorism is behind the worst mass shooting in
U.S.
The U.N. Security Council, also on Monday, strongly
condemned the Orlando attack, for the first time mentioning the targeting of
people on the basis of sexual orientation, without condemning Islamic terrorism.
The Islamic attack gave the U.S. government the perfect
excuse to work to further criminalize moral and Christian stances against the
homosexual behavior in the Western nations and oppress nations like Russia,
which criminalize homosexual propaganda for children and teens, but do not criminalize
homosexual behavior and do not murder homosexuals. Specifically, the U.S.
government has never used the U.N. system to condemn Saudi Arabia, which bans
homosexual behavior and murders homosexuals.
The shooter who carried out mass shooting murder on
Sunday at a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida, had pledged allegiance to
the Islamic State. His act of terrorism stands as the deadliest such attack on
U.S. soil since Sept. 11, 2001, when al Qaeda-trained, Saudi Muslim hijackers
crashed jetliners into New York’s World Trade Center, the Pentagon and a field
in Pennsylvania, killing some 3,000 people.
While the U.S., under conservative President George W. Bush,
used Iraq and other nations as a diversion for the Saudi Islamic attacks, today
the U.S. mainstream media use other scapegoats, especially Christians, as a
diversion for the Islamic attack.
“If we are united in our outrage by the killing of so
many – and we are – let us be equally united around the basic premise of
upholding the universal dignity of all persons regardless of who they love, not
just around condemning the terrorists who kill them,” Deputy U.S. Ambassador
David Pressman said in regard to the U.S. homosexual push in the U.N. after the
Orlando attack.
Despite intense efforts by the United States, the terms
“sexual orientation” and “gender identity” are part of only one General
Assembly resolution. Pressman complained about it, saying that every year “there
is a pitched fight over whether it is appropriate to include sexual orientation
in that protection.” “Sexual orientation” and “gender identity” inclusions are efforts
to push the gay agenda in the U.N., but these efforts fiercely opposed by pro-family
groups.
U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has long advocated
for gay rights but has faced opposition from Russia, African, Arab and Muslim
states. Under Pope John Paul 2, the Vatican was also a prominent opposition.
But the current pope does not seem to want to play a significant role in this
opposition.
In 2014, Ban announced the United Nations would
recognize all same-sex “marriages” of its staff. Russia unsuccessfully tried to
overturn the move last year, with many governments supporting Russia.
In his pro-homosexuality effort, Ban has received
support from the “Core LGBT Group,” a group of eleven countries committed to
“concerted action” for LGBT rights. The “Core LGBT Group,” led by the U.S., is
composed by the European Union, Israel and Brazil. (Brazil under Marxist
President Dilma Rousseff was a loyal supporter of all homosexual and abortion
causes championed by the Obama administration in the U.N.)
U.S. Ambassador Samantha Power and U.N. envoys from 16
countries gathered at a New York landmark gay bar Thursday to galvanize global
efforts to advance LGBT rights after the Orlando attack on a gay nightclub.
The senior diplomats mostly from Europe and Latin
America met to discuss new initiatives to promote homosexual rights around the
world.
“We couldn’t think of a more symbolic place after the
monstrous attack in Orlando to come than this one,” Power said at the Stonewall
Inn, considered the birthplace of the American homosexualist movement.
Dutch Ambassador Karel van Oosterom, a member of the Core
LGBT Group, called for a “worldwide global action to address this,” and said “the
Core Group will be instrumental to do that.”
With the Islamic terrorist attack on a gay nightclub in
Orlando, the U.S. is renewing its push for the gay agenda in the U.N. without
condemning Islam or Islamic terrorism.
The Inquisition is a myth and legend, insists Brazilian
philosopher Olavo de Carvalho, who said today,
“Without the black legend of the
Inquisition, Protestant churches would never have achieved the success they
did. Who does not want to run from the bloody hands of torturers to the arms of
Our Lord? A legend is an integral component of Protestant prestige and, if the
legend falls, Protestant prestige falls with it. This is the reason that so
many people cling to it not just without evidence, but against all evidence.”
Carvalho has many other pro-Inquisition comments and further
criticism against U.S. Protestants for their allegedly unfair anti-Inquisition “propaganda.”
All of his comments and criticism are published only in Portuguese, of course.
To Protestants, he said today,
“Do not try to clean yourselves in
another’s filth. Illuminatis and communists received the myth of the
Inquisition ready-made from Protestants’ hands and they only passed it on.”
In other comment published today, he compared the “war-like
propaganda” of Protestants against the Inquisition to the communist “cultural
revolution” waged against the military government in Brazil. So, in his view,
Protestants and communists are working hand in hand.
While everyone is focused on the
Islamic terrorist attack on a homosexual nightclub in Orlando, Fla.,
Carvalho is creating, with several pro-Inquisition comments today, an
unnecessary and senseless diversion and division between Protestants and
Catholics by setting himself up as a fighter against the Protestant “legend” of
the Inquisition.
Carvalho often mentions revisionist writers, including
Edward Peters, as his main reference when attacking this “legend.” I wonder if
to talk about the Holocaust that Nazis committed against the Jews he refers to
a revisionist author, who likewise maintains that the Holocaust was a myth and a
legend…
Jews Also Were Victims
Why his insistence on portraying U.S. Protestants as
malignant propagandists, similar to communists, exclusively for the sake of the
Inquisition? Why not include the Jews too?
In 2013, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met
Pope Francis at the Vatican, and gave the leader of the Catholic Church “The
Origins of the Inquisition in Fifteenth Century Spain,” a book that largely
revolves about Spanish Catholics questioning, torturing, and punishing the Jews,
exposing how thousands of them were expelled from Spain or burned at the stake.
The Jewish Journal said that “The Origins of the
Inquisition in Fifteenth Century Spain,” a scholarly magnum opus and in-depth
tome on the Spanish Inquisition, describes how the Catholic Church persecuted,
and often executed, masses of Jews.
Business Insider noted that “it is important to think
of the context of the book, which is written by Netanyahu’s father Ben-Zion
Netanyahu, a well-regarded historian who worked at both Hebrew University of
Jerusalem and Cornell University.”
CBS News said, “Netanyahu’s father, Ben-Zion Netanyahu,
was an Israeli historian… best known in academic circles for his research into
the Catholic Church’s medieval inquisition against the Jews of Spain.”
A Catholic Historian Exposes the Inquisition’s Reality
Renowned Catholic historian Paul Johnson, in his book
“A History Of Christianity” (published in the United Kingdom in 1976), said of
the Inquisition:
“Convictions of thought-crimes
being difficult to secure, the Inquisition used procedures banned in other
courts… The names of hostile witnesses were withheld, anonymous informers were
used, the accusations of personal enemies were allowed, the accused were denied
the right of defence, or of defending counsel; and there was no appeal. The
object, quite simply, was to produce convictions at any cost; only thus, it was
thought, could heresy be quenched.”
“Many countries would not admit the
Inquisition at all… There was the destruction of records.”
“In Spain, the Catholic crown,
through its instrument the Inquisition, exterminated Protestantism in the
1550s.”
“The Inquisition was a popular
instrument, directed against Jews…”
“The Inquisition was set up in
Rome, under the fanatical Neapolitan papalist Cardinal Caraffa (later Pope Paul
iv), whose watchwords were: ‘No man is to abase himself by showing toleration
towards any sort of heretic, least of all a Calvinist’; and ‘Even if my own
father were a heretic, I would gather the wood to burn him.’”
“The Inquisition… proved durable,
largely because it was self-financing from the confiscated property of the
condemned. The fact that it needed the money for its operations meant that it
had to secure convictions. Hence the use of torture.”
“The Inquisition finally ran out of
money in the late eighteenth century, and from that point it became moribund,
though it was not effectively abolished until 1834. The last official Spanish
execution for heresy was in 1826, when a schoolmaster was hanged for
substituting ‘Praise be to God’ in place of ‘Ave Maria’ in school prayers.”
“[Protestant states] might have
state religions but they tended to be more tolerant. They rarely persecuted
systematically. They had no equivalent to the Inquisition. They were not
clericalist. They permitted books to circulate more freely. They did not burden
commerce with canon law. They accepted ‘private’ religion, and placed marriage
and the family at the centre of it. They were thus more congenial to the
capitalist community. As a result, Protestant societies appeared far more
successful than Catholic ones as the capitalist system developed.”
Would Carvalho care that the source of this material is
Catholic?
In a public video (https://youtu.be/Cpq8eaAy7JY), which I
have posted on my Brazilian Facebook, Carvalho stated that all the torture
tools of the Inquisition in the museums around the world were fabricated.
In the video, he explains about anti-Catholic,
especially anti-Inquisition, portrayals in the movie industry and that even
though most movie producers are Jews, their anti-Catholic and anti-Inquisition “bias”
is inspired by Protestants — as if Jews had never had their own history and had
never been tortured and murdered by the Inquisition.
At Least, the FBI Does Not Torture
If Carvalho loves to downplay the Inquisition and its
persecution, why did he bother about the FBI “persecuting” him? A WND report of
2011 said, “FBI suspected
of intimidation tactic” against Olavo de Carvalho.
At least, the FBI did not threaten to torture him or
burn him at the stake. Yet, Carvalho’s fear was baseless: the FBI officially
said that it had done nothing against him.
Did the Inquisition Not Torture?
Carvalho has downplayed the horrors of the Inquisition
in the following public comment:
“Even in the popular image of the
Inquisition fires, lies are predominant. Everybody believe that condemned
individuals ‘died burned,’ amid horrible suffering. The flames were high, more
than 16 feet high, to hinder suffering. The condemned individuals (less than
ten a year in two dozen nations) died suffocated in a few minutes, before the
flames could touch them.”
He also said:
“The myth of the Inquisition has
been the most extensive and lasting campaign of slander and defamation in
history to this day, with multi-million dollar funding, and it seems this campaign
will have no end. Those who created it were not Illuminatis or communists. It
was created by Protestants, who keep promoting it even today, and the irradiant
center is U.S. churches.”
He has said that Protestantism was the first
(Marxist-oriented) revolutionary movement in history. (Of course, in this
perspective, the Inquisition is completely justified against these “Marxist”
pioneers!)
His insistent reference to the Inquisition as a “myth”
and a “legend,” portraying U.S. Protestants as malignant propagandists, seems
calculated to sow chaos in the conservative relationship between Catholics and
Protestants in Brazil. Freemasons and other occultists also use chaos to impose
their order later.
Even though the most prominent members of his institute
— the Inter-American Institute — are
Protestant and he is dependent on them for the promotion of his name in the
U.S., he has publicly called Luther and
Calvin two “sons of bitches.”
Because of my opposition to the Inquisition and his
public advocacy of its revisionism, he has publicly called me dirtier names
than this.
Sadly, all of his pro-Inquisition stances and
name-calling against Luther and me are available only in Portuguese.
Whatever the case may be, a man who extols the virtues
of the Inquisition’s killing machine should never fear the FBI. At least, he would
be spared torture and death.
A Nebulous Esoteric History
Unsuspecting Catholic readers could misunderstand
Carvalho as a Catholic, but before choosing to present himself as a
conservative philosopher who predicts political trends and events, he was a
famous astrologer (and founder and director of the first Brazilian school of
astrologers) who predicted political trends and events.
Carvalho has a nebulous esoteric history, in particular
following the “conservatism” of the Traditionalist or Perennial Philosophy of
René Guénon, an Islamic sorcerer who used to predict political trends and
events. The first translation into Portuguese of a Guénon book was made by
Carvalho.
Two weeks ago, Reinaldo Azevedo, who, like Carvalho,
considers himself a Catholic, has in a Veja report
exposed Carvalho’s past as a professor of astrology and an adherent of the
Islamic mysticism of René Guénon. Azevedo is a columnist of Veja magazine (the
Brazilian counterpart of Time magazine). He exposed Carvalho particularly
because of his insistence on attacking Brazilian leaders who helped in the
massive campaigns to impeach Brazilian Marxist President Dilma Rousseff.
I disagree with the Catholic spiritual worldview, but
here a nominal Catholic is criticizing another nominal Catholic with a prominent
occultist background.
The Hypocrisy of Brazilian Activists
A common feature in Brazilian activists is hypocrisy.
During the military rule in Brazil, leftist activists, who complained against
capitalism, chose exile in England, Sweden and even the United States, the most
capitalist nation in the world. Thus these anticapitalists chose to live in the
most capitalist nations in the world.
Carvalho frequently complains about Protestantism (not just
liberal Protestantism, but Protestantism on the whole, especially U.S.
Protestantism), but he chose exile in the largest Protestant nation in the
world. Why does a man who complains about Protestantism choose to escape from
the largest Catholic nation in the world and live in the most Protestant nation
in the world?
The Inter-American Institute and Its Potty-Mouthed Director
In fact, why would he choose to found, with the help of U.S. Protestants, the
Inter-American Institute, composed of an approximately 50/50 mix of Protestants
and Catholics? A member of his institute, who shall remain unnamed, said to me
that to excuse the Inquisition and its torture and murder of Jews and
Protestants is the same thing as excusing Planned Parenthood and its torture
and murder of unborn babies.
How will these members learn of his ideas if he
expresses publicly his nonsense only in Portuguese, a language they do not
speak?
He usually uses profanity and curse word to criticize
socialists and conservatives. He has excused his dirty and foul language by
saying:
“In the U.S., only the Left uses
profanity and curse words. This is enough to explain why conservatives, even
when they are majority, are always at a disadvantage.”
“In Hollywood movies, two out of
three words are “fuck.” This is what is isolating and weakening conservatives.”
“Lenin already knew that, in
politics, he who reviles more always runs ahead.”
For Carvalho, U.S. conservatives are losing the
cultural war because they refuse foul language!
He excuses his foul mouth as a “strategy” because,
according to him, Vladimir Lenin used it successfully to spread Soviet Marxism,
and he hopes to achieve the same success by employing the same dirty tricks and
language to spread his “conservatism.” Between following Lenin and U.S.
conservatives, he prefers the former. In fact, foul-mouthed “conservatism” is
his hallmark in Brazil.
But his “strategy,” allegedly a weapon against socialists,
is also used to attack Brazilian conservatives that he feels threaten his
views. When I, a conservative evangelical, disagreed with him about the
Catholic Inquisition, which he says did not torture Jews and Protestants for
the “crime” of different views, his potty mouth did not spare me any public
abuse, insult and revilement.
Anti-Marxist Stridency: a Cover?
He has other inconsistencies. For example, his
virulently anti-Russian stances sharply contrast with his opportunistic
endorsement of the Republican presidential candidate pro-Putin Trump. It is
opportunistic because usually he implacably accuses pro-Russia conservatives of
“KGB agents.” His speech is very similar to neocon speeches. I have exposed
this inconsistency in my article “Is
Trump a KGB Agent?”
If his “philosophical” stridency were reserved only to
Russians, he would never compare U.S. Protestants against the Inquisition to
communists.
Is all of this stridency aimed at defending Catholicism
or using it? Last month, Carvalho said that the only serious effort to
understand the communist strategy in Latin America was the Ibn Khaldun Study
Group, in the honor of an Arab Muslim. This secretive group was created by
Carvalho in 2003. Has an anti-Marxist strategy that at the same time pays
homage to Muslims a Catholic appearance?
I wonder what he is going to do after he and his
Inter-American Institute “save” Brazil from Marxism and U.S. Protestants and their
anti-Inquisition “propaganda.” Will he lead Catholics to the “conservatism” of
the Traditionalist or Perennial Philosophy of René Guénon? Will he found a new
Islamic study group to fight Marxism?
Worst Mass Shooting in U.S. History: Islamic
Extremist Kills at Least 50 at Florida Homosexual Nightclub
By Julio Severo
A suspected Islamic extremist wielding an AR-15 assault
rifle and a handgun opened fire inside a crowded homosexual nightclub early
Sunday, killing at least 50 people before dying in a gunfight with SWAT
officers, police said. It was the worst mass shooting in American history.
Law enforcement sources have identified the shooter as
U.S. citizen Omar Mateen, 29, whose parents are from Afghanistan, a
radically Islamic nation.
At least 50 people were killed and 53 others were
injured in the shooting inside Pulse, which describes itself as the most
prominent gay nightclub in Orlando, early hours of June 12, 2016.
There were about 320 people inside the nightclub at the
time of the shootings and about 100 people were taken hostage.
An FBI spokesman said the mass shooting is being
investigated as an act of terrorism. The FBI believe the gunman, who was shot
dead by officers, may have “leanings to radical Islamic terrorism.”
Twitter accounts which claim to be affiliated to the
Islamic State have hailed the shooting.
The attack happened against three significant
homosexual symbols. June 2016 is the month that, by presidential decree, Barack
Hussein Obama proclaimed as “Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Pride
Month.”
The city of the attack, Orlando, is the home of the Disney
World, an amusement park famed for advocating the gay ideology.
The most prominent homosexual nightclub in Orlando was
attacked. Nightclubs are major meeting points for homosexuals.
Representative Adam Schiff, the top Democrat on a
congressional intelligence committee, noted that the shooting took place during
the holy Islamic date of Ramadan, and that ISIS leaders have urged Muslims
to attack during this time.
“The target was an LGBT nightclub during [the Homosexual]
Pride [Month], and — if accurate — that according to local law enforcement the
shooter declared his allegiance to ISIS, (that) indicates an ISIS-inspired
act of terrorism,” Schiff said in a statement.
If confirmed as an act of terrorism, it would stand as
the deadliest such attack on U.S. soil since Sept. 11, 2001, when al
Qaeda-trained, Saudi Muslim hijackers crashed jetliners into New York’s World
Trade Center, the Pentagon and a field in Pennsylvania, killing some 3,000
people.
A Christian Stance
Of course, Christians, who are the main target of
Islamic violence and killings around the world, sympathize with the victims of
the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history. But sympathy does not equal with endorsement
to the homosexual agenda.
While Islamic nations as Saudi Arabia, which is a U.S.
ally, condemn the gay agenda and homosexuals to death, Christians condemn only
the gay agenda and help homosexuals get free from its physically, morally and
spiritually deadly influence.
The U.S. mainstream media, traditionally controlled by
pro-sodomy socialists, do not criticize Saudi Arabia and its violence against Christians.
In fact, they talk timidly about Christians (who represent most victims) and homosexuals
(who represent the minority of victims) being killed in Islamic nations.
What does the modern “tolerant” United States do, which
was historically founded by persecuted Protestants? It grants asylum to
thousands of Muslims. Only this year, the U.S.
granted asylum to over 2,000 Muslim Syrians. Only six Christian Syrians
were granted asylum.
That is, Muslims traditionally persecute and kill
Christians and homosexuals, and the U.S. wants more Muslims, and less, much
less, of their Christian victims.
Omar Mateen is direct result of the insane pro-Islam
immigration policies of a republic founded by Protestants, who never envisioned
a nation to serve the gay and Islamic agenda.
Even though homosexuals are also, with Muslims, in the
top priority of the U.S. granting asylum, Christians have been ostracized.
Now that an Islamic terrorist did in a U.S. homosexual nightclub
what they do daily with Christians in Muslim nations, what will the U.S. do?
Will it label the attack as a general religious fanaticism to demonize
Christian efforts to help homosexuals and society get free from the gay agenda’s
physically, morally and spiritually deadly influence?
Christians also work to get society free from the Islamic
agenda. If their efforts fail, who will hinder other massacres from happening?
Homosexuals and Muslims do not need to die. Jesus has a
better plan for them: deliverance from their sins and eternal life.
Christians love sinners, but not their sins, and they feel
sorry when they die in their sins.

In his final months, Muhammad Ali, who died Friday at
74, was promoting Islam, the religion he embraced in the 1960s.
In December, the boxing legend issued a statement
criticizing Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s proposal to ban
Muslims from entering the United States. Ali called on fellow Muslims to “stand
up to those who use Islam to advance their own personal agenda.”
“American Muslims would be well-served to look at the
challenges that Muslims such as Malcolm X and Muhammad Ali had to deal with,”
said Dawud Walid, executive director of the Michigan chapter of the Council on
American-Islamic Relations.
Walid, who led prayers for Ali on Sunday at a Detroit
mosque Ali used to visit, remembers as a child in the 1970s he received a Ali
doll, which led to his eventual conversion to Islam.
Ali, originally a Baptist, renounced Christianity at 22
to become the most famous convert to Islam in American history when he
announced he had joined the Black Muslim movement under the guidance of Malcolm
X shortly after he first became champion. He eventually rejected his “white”
name, Cassius Clay, which he considered a “slave name,” and instead used the
name “Muhammad Ali,” bestowed upon him by Nation of Islam founder Elijah
Muhammad.
His rejection of Christianity as a slavery religion and
his embrace of Islam as a liberation religion was utter nonsense. According to Mike
Konrad, Islam is historically a champion of slavery, especially of Africans.
What could explain Ali’s nonsense of embracing a religion of slavery and terror?
According to Reuters, the U.S. Army twice rejected Ali for service after
measuring his IQ at 78. These tests angered Ali, who in his turn angered many
American patriots when for the sake of his Islamic beliefs he refused to fight communism
in Vietnam. Even with his unpatriotic Islamic behavior, in 2005 he was awarded
the Presidential Medal of Freedom by conservative U.S. President George W.
Bush.
Ali’s emergence coincided with the American civil
rights movement and his persona offered young blacks an Islamic radical passion
they did not get from the Protestant minister Martin Luther King.
Like many African-Americans, Ali’s first foray into Islam
was through the Nation of Islam, the extremist black nationalist movement,
started in Detroit, which advocated a kind of violent Islamic Black Liberation
Theology.
“I am America. I am the part you won’t recognize,” Ali
said. “But get used to me… my religion, not yours.”
Decisive for his Islamic propaganda was the U.S.
cultural hegemony, which makes any fame and propaganda global. Without it, he
would hardly have been, mistakenly, the greatest athlete of the century — in
the service of Islam. This hegemony has been an effective platform for Islamic
expansion.
In the past, this hegemony worked positively for
Christian expansion — the U.S. was the biggest champion of Protestant missions
in the world. But with the increasing U.S. moral decadence and a dramatic
reduction of conservative evangelicalism (the U.S. has gone from a 98%
Protestant population in the late 1700s to less than 50% today), it works now for
any ideology, including Islam.
One of Ali’s final messages was defending Islam. Trump’s
comments, Ali said, “alienated many from learning about Islam.”
He died at the age of 74 after suffering for more than
three decades with Parkinson’s syndrome, which has been linked to head trauma because
of his boxing career. This condition stole his physical strength and killed his
loquaciousness.

Do Not Be an Enabler of Evil! Lessons from
Lausanne
By Julio Severo
In the first Lausanne Congress on World Evangelization
in 1974, idealized and supported by Billy Graham, left-wing
theologians from Latin America, especially René Padilla, took advantage to
bring the Theology of Integral Mission (TIM), which is the Protestant version
of Liberation Theology.
In his capacity of Lausanne moderator, John Stott, who
is passionately praised by Latin American advocates of TIM, adorned this
Marxist theology, by applying face powder and lipstick. So, fully charming and
transformed, TIM was launched internationally, by using Lausanne as a platform,
even though under a fierce conservative resistance led by Peter Wagner.
Wagner, who is the main leader in the global apostolic
movement, fought TIM not only in Lausanne, but also in the first Padilla congresses
in Latin America, years before Lausanne. Wagner was the first theologian to
make resistance to TIM in Latin America.
Nevertheless all resistance decades ago, TIM grew
internationally. Today, thanks to Stott and his incredible work of make-up and
enabling, TIM dominates Lausanne as an elegant social theology. Wagner’s
resistance has been forgotten and TIM Latin American theologians have prevailed.
In 2014, Lausanne paid Wagner’s resistance back in the
same coin, by holding in Brazil
a meeting of Lausanne leaders against Wagner and his apostolic movement.
The meeting was led by TIM leaders, especially Rev. Valdir Steuernagel.
After the first and second Lausanne congresses, Billy
Graham realized that the TIM Latin American advocates used Lausanne as a
platform. So he stopped funding the event. But it was too late. The damage was
already done.
Wanting or not, by adorning TIM in Lausanne, John Stott
enabled the expansion of this evil in the Global Evangelical Church.
