Right Wing Watch, of People for the American Way, against Julio Severo

Right Wing Watch, a major American socialist group, has for several times, since 2014 (see: People for the American Way’s Leftist Diatribe Against a Brazilian Conservative), focused on my articles published by the conservative website BarbWire, and it has “exposed” them to its U.S. left-wing audience for politically incorrect views.

Its latest focus was on my BarbWire article “What Will America Gain by Making Homosexuality Great?” Right Wing Watch said on June 29, 2017,

Julio Severo says that “if America wants to be great, she should despise the sin of Sodom as repugnant and follow the Book loved by the early Americans.”

Right Wing Watch exposed, at the same time, Melania Trump, Tom DeLay and Erik Rush  just for expressing conservative views hated by the U.S. left.

On June 12, 2017, Right Wing Watch said:

Finally, Julio Severo has a message: “As a Brazilian conservative evangelical, I ask U.S. evangelicals to press the Trump administration to abandon Obama’s homosexual imperialism in the State Department and honor his commitment to his evangelical constituents, who were instrumental for his victory. The Trump administration should defend family against predatory homosexuality, which is a special threat to children.”

Why does Right Wing Watch want to defend Trump, who is an evangelical, in his non-conservative attitudes involving his pro-sodomy State Department? Specifically, why does this powerful left-wing group want to defend Trump from a Brazilian conservative evangelical?

Right Wing Watch exposed, at the same time, Jesse Lee Peterson and David Kupelian just for expressing conservative views hated by the U.S. left.

Other prominent conservative leaders frequently attacked by Right Wing Watch are: Scott Lively, Pat Robertson, Peter LaBarbera, Tony Perkins, Matt Barber, Linda Harvey, Bill Federer, Michael Savage, Alex Jones, Joseph Farah, Jerry Falwell Jr., Jane Chastain, Erik Rush, Bryan Fischer, Michele Bachmann, James Dobson, Dinesh D’Souza, Family Research Council, Barbara Simpson, Mat Staver, Cindy Jacobs, Lou Engle, Lance Wallnau, Rick Joyner, David Horowitz, Larry Klayman and many others.

What does Right Wing Watch, which is owned by People for the American Way, want?

According to WND, People for the American Way (PFAW) is “an atheist socialist organization which, through publications like its ‘Right Wing Watch,’ dedicates itself to the destruction of conservatives in general.”

According to its website, Right Wing Watch has a special mission to attack conservatives opposed to the gay agenda, abortion and Muslim ideology.

This is not the first time Right Wing Watch exposed my article to its American left-wing audience. Last April, Right Wing Watch said,

Finally, Julio Severo is outraged that Vice President Pence took off his shoes while visiting a mosque in Indonesia: “You can take off your shoes where God is. But to take off your shoes in a place where God is offended is an insult to God. A Christian should never take off his shoes in a place where Islam is worshiped.”

Why does Right Wing Watch want to defend Pence, who is a conservative evangelical, in his non-conservative attitudes involving Islam? Specifically, why does this powerful left-wing group want to defend Pence from a Brazilian conservative evangelical?

Last January Right Wing Watch said:

Julio Severo asserts that Obama’s state department fomented “culture war on behalf of the homosexual agenda” all over the world that was carried out by that “pro-sodomy neocon,” Hillary Clinton.

Last October Right Wing Watch said:

Julio Severo proclaims that “neocon Hillary and her Catholic vice want to purge America from real Christian conservatives …The real Founding Fathers of America, including the first American president George Washington, were white, Protestant and conservative. They were not pro-abortion, pro-sodomy and neocon. They would never support neocon Hillary.”

In that same month, Right Wing Watch said:

Matt Barber’s BarbWire website posted a story on Monday by frequent contributor Julio Severo, who was alarmed by a “bisexual community briefing” at the White House last month and, in particular, the speech of a self-described bisexual Sioux man who began his presentation by calling on “the Great Spirit, Wakan Tanka, to guide our words and thoughts so that we can speak true and strong.”

In a column titled “Bisexual Indian Invokes Demons At White House,” Severo wrote that the man had invoked “homosexual spirits,” thereby infesting the White House with demons that can only be expelled by “people who know and use the authority of Jesus’ name.”

“A homosexual culture is a culture of demon possession,” he wrote. “Has the White House turned into a haunt of demons?”

The prominent atheistic website Patheos also criticized my Christian view on demons. They do not believe in any God and demon activity in this world. In an article titled “The White House Must Be Exorcised Of Bisexual Native American Demons, Says Christian Writer,” Patheos said, “Severo described the spirits/gay demons as being ‘invisible, lethal and destructive’ — which is fascinating given that, as far as anyone knows, no one has ever actually been murdered by one…”

The Patheos article generated 110 comments from raging atheists against Severo.

In another post this month, Right Wing Watch said:

“Julio Severo warns that if ‘Hillary is elected, everyone in the United States and around the world will pay a high cost for her aggressive abortion and sodomy agenda.’”

They also “exposed” in September 28, 2015:

Finally, Julio Severo is not happy with the nomination of Eric Fanning to serve as Secretary of the Army: “I am sure that in Obama’s and Fanning’s case, the Father of America would approve sentence on them and he would treat, with abhorrence and detestation, their sodomy and sodomy advocacy as an infamous crime. In the least, Obama would be expelled from the U.S. presidency and Fanning would be expelled from Army, both with dishonor, never to return. Both have committed treason against the Father of America.”

They also “exposed” me in June 30, 2015:

Julio Severo warns that “homosexuality brought destruction to Sodom, and it will bring destruction to any city or superpower embracing it. A remnant of Christians faithful to God should warn about the danger of sodomy and support efforts to protect children and their families from it.”

In June 18, 2015, Right Wing Watch again “exposed” me by saying:

Finally, Julio Severo wants to see Scott Lively appointed “as a U.S. Special Envoy for the Human Rights of Children and their Protection against the LGBT Agenda.”

Again, Right Wing Watch read my politically incorrect view on Barbwire.

Why has Right Wing Watch focused on my articles?

What do they intend to do?

In 2011, WND had reported on surveillance by the Homeland Security Department against my blog. What did they intend to do?

Facebook Acknowledges Its Own Censorship on Julio Severo. What Happens Now?

Even though not using the term “censorship” for its censoring act, Facebook recognized it “accidentally removed” an article I had posted on Facebook on June 19.

Facebook said that the removal “was a mistake,” adding: “we sincerely apologize for this error.”

The removal was followed by an unfair action by Facebook — a 30-day ban on my ability to post, like, comment and communicate on my own Facebook profile. Even though the “mistake” has been officially recognized, the ban imposed by Facebook has not been removed and my Facebook account remains blocked for my personal use, in spite of my several complaints to Facebook letting them know that their ban is a complete mistake.

The original post, which was the reason for Facebook to block me, was just the title and link of my article (Brazilian Neighbors Are Ordered to Pay US$4,500 For Calling a Homosexual “Fag” http://bit.ly/2sMZlZg), which, by the way, made it abundantly clear that I oppose name-calling and foul language.

My subsequent article, “Facebook, Censorship, Profanity, Name-Calling and Foul Language,” also confirmed that I oppose name-calling and foul language.

Even so, the censorship, imposed on June 19, continued unabated. Then, on June 23, the California-based Freedom of Conscience Defense Fund sent an official legal letter to Mr. Colin Stretch, Esq., General Counsel at Facebook. Its letter said,

Mr. Stretch,

On Monday, June 19, 2017, a post made to Facebook by user Julio Severo, a Brazilian national, was removed and his account (facebook.com/julio.severo) suspended for 30 days either through the workings of an automated system or by a human curator. We have been asked by Julio to contact you on his behalf to demand the ending of his account suspension and reinstatement of his post as both actions violated Facebook’s Statement of Rights and Responsibilities, as revised January 30, 2015.

The post linked to an entry from Mr. Severo’s personal blog with a headline reading: “Brazilian Neighbors Are Ordered to Pay US$4,500 For Calling a Homosexual ‘Fag’” Mr. Severo was given no warning and his attempts to communicate with Facebook staff regarding the removal have been met with silence. Mr. Severo assumes it is the presence of the word “fag” that led to the account suspension.

As the title of his post indicates, Mr. Severo was reporting a newsworthy event which occurred in his home country. The word “fag” was properly placed in quotation marks to reflect that it was the criminal defendants, and not Mr. Severo himself, who were responsible for using the epithet. The post was written to criticize his country’s judicial system for what he believes is too severe a punishment, but his post makes clear he does not approve of the language used by defendants. Whether or not Facebook or a subset of its users find the punishment proper, Mr. Severo’s actions did not violate the Statement of Rights and Responsibilities, a binding contract. Rather, the removal of the post, and suspension of his account, did violate that contract.

According to the Statement of Rights and Responsibilities, part 3 “Safety”, paragraphs 6 and 7, users agree that: “1. You will not bully, intimidate, or harass any user. 2. You will not post content that: is hate speech, threatening, or pornographic; incites violence; or contains nudity or graphic or gratuitous violence.” Similarly, Facebook’s Community Standards, states under the heading “Hate Speech”: “Facebook removes hate speech, which includes content that directly attacks people based on their … sexual orientation, sex, gender, or gender identity…”

Mr. Severo’s blog post, including its headline, does not direct an offensive term toward any specific user or use offensive language to describe any person. Reporting the use of the word by others in the context of reporting the outcome of a criminal proceeding does not constitute bullying, intimidation, harassment, or a “direct attack.” Whether Facebook or a subset of its users disagree with Mr. Severo’s political or religious views, or are even subjectively “offended” by them, he did not objectively violate the terms of use of the site nor direct hateful, threatening, or harassing language toward others.

Facebook’s Community Standards also state under “Hate Speech”: “People can use Facebook to challenge ideas, institutions, and practices. Such discussion can promote debate and greater understanding.” Mr. Severo’s post was written with the goal of challenging the legal system and social norms of his home country and thus falls within the scope of allowable content on Facebook.

On Tuesday, June 20, 2017, Mr. Severo submitted an appeal through Facebook’s website explaining how his actions did not violate the Statement of Rights and Responsibilities. Mr. Severo’s inquiry has so far been ignored, and the restrictions on his account maintained. The continued suspension of Mr. Severo’s account is improper and constitutes breach of contract. Please remove that suspension by June 30, 2017, and reinstate Mr. Severo’s post, in order to avoid legal action.

Facebook sent me its official answer on July 3, 2017:

A member of our team accidentally removed something you posted on Facebook. This was a mistake, and we sincerely apologize for this error. We've since restored the content, and you should now be able to see it.

Notwithstanding Facebook’s acknowledgment that my article’s removal, which was followed by an unfair blockage on my account, was an alleged “mistake” made by a member of the Facebook team, as of July 5 my Facebook profile remains blocked.

My Facebook profile remains visible to others, but it is functionally “dead.” I have been blocked from posting, liking, commenting and communicating through my profile since June 19.

Has Facebook been unable to abide by its own rules and its own apology?

Out in far-left media land, there’s a whole lotta homosexual paranoia going on.

Yes, in the past week, The Advocate called conservatives “wingnuts,” and HotSpots, the most important homosexual magazine in Florida, gloatingly announced: “Creep of the Week: Brazilian Writer & Blogger Julio Severo.”

Actually, several other U.S. homosexual websites, Facebook pages and magazines have also made the same announcement.

If I call a homosexual activist a creep, these same websites, Facebook pages and magazines will sue me and call me “homophobe” for “reviling” one of them.

In fact, my Facebook account has been blocked for 30 days immediately after my post on a news report about Brazilian neighbors being ordered to pay thousands of dollars for calling a homosexual a “fag.” My post was very clear that I am opposed to name-calling and foul language. Even so, Facebook censored me.

Homosexual activists call me “creep” even on Facebook pages and there is no censorship. No court orders them to pay me thousands of dollars for reviling me. They have been free to revile me. Conclusion: If I want to be free to revile, I should embrace homosexuality. If Facebook would try to block me, I could use the homosexual card and cry “homophobia.” If some magazine or website would call me a “creep,” I could also use the homosexual card and cry “homophobia.” All the media and authorities would support me against the “homophobes.” And I could sue all of “homophobes.”

But what really stands out on extreme left-wing sites are virulently anti-Christian columns, which portray homosexual activists as “victims,” even though the alleged victims are busy attacking Christians — and not attacking Muslims.

Again, The Advocate attacked BarbWire, an evangelical Christian website.

The Advocate is the biggest gay magazine in America and is, in its own words, “The World’s Leading News Source for LGBT.”

The Advocate said,

Speaking of BarbWire, one of its contributors has been reading this column. Julio Severo even played off the title of one of our recent entries; his column is headlined “Reading the Far Left and Its Attack on Breitbart and BarbWire: Gay Perversion, Veiled and Overt.” The illustration was a rainbow flag with a hammer and sickle — for you youngsters out there, the hammer and sickle were on the flag of the former Soviet Union. Nice touch, BarbWire!

Severo noted that we took issue with a Breitbart column that essentially said the LGBT movement used to be OK but has now gone too far left. We expressed a doubt that Breitbart writer Joel B. Pollak would ever actually have supported LGBT rights, but Severo contended that Breitbart cannot truly be conservative because it once employed Milo Yiannapoulos, a gay man.

“Genuine U.S. conservatism, especially evangelical conservatism (which is the most prevalent Christian conservatism in America), sees nothing conservative in homosexuality,” Severo wrote. However, the reason Yiannopoulos found fans at Breitbart was most likely his willingness to at least appeal to racism, transphobia, and other prejudices that are rejected by both liberals and mainstream conservatives. He went too far by appearing to endorse relationships between men and teenage boys, though, leading to the loss of his job as Breitbart tech editor.

Severo went on to defend a BarbWire column The Advocate found objectionable because the author, Robert Oscar Lopez, claimed LGBT people are out to “recruit” children. “The homosexual movement is always preying on children,” Severo asserted. He further defended anti-LGBT columns by himself and other BarbWire contributors, and said Christian churches that accept LGBT people are driven by Satan.

What have I written that The Advocate read that “LGBT people are driven by Satan”? In response to The Advocate saying that there are Christian churches supportive of the homosexual sin, I said,

“Apparently, The Advocate ignores the word apostasy, which is guided by a wicked and sick worldview. The Advocate ignores that the author of apostasy and the acceptance of homosexuality among Christian churches is Satan and his demons. The Advocate also ignores that the Author of all condemnation of homosexuality in the Bible is not man. It is God.”

Christian churches that welcome and love homosexuals to help them find Christ’s deliverance are guided by God, who wants homosexuals delivered from their sin. But Christian churches that welcome the homosexual sin, which is clearly condemned by God, are guided by Satan.

I also said,

“If The Advocate is concerned about real radicalism against homosexuals, it should make a list of Islamic nations that kill homosexuals. It should pressure Trump and his State Department to do to Saudi Arabia and other Muslim nations that kill homosexuals just as what Obama’s State Department did to Russia and what Trump’s State Department does to Russia: sanctions, sanctions and more sanctions.”

The Advocate answered,

“We do not hesitate to condemn any violence based in religious fanaticism. However, we do not condemn the religion itself, be it Islam, Christianity, or anything else.”

Obviously (and this is massively obvious) The Advocate has never sarcastically announced some Saudi Muslim leader as “Person of Year.” But it has sarcastically announced Vladimir Putin as its 2014 “Person of the Year” immediately after Russia approved a law banning homosexual propaganda to children and adolescents. Russia is the largest Christian Orthodox nation in the world.

It is easy to lambast evangelicals, Catholics and Orthodox Christians. Why not lambast Muslims?

I have never seen a homosexual announcement saying: “Creep of the Week: The Saudi Islamic Dictator.”

It very easy for The Advocate to spare some “Christian” churches from attacks, because apostate churches twist the Bible to say that God approves the homosexual sin. Yet, homosexual activists attack the real, non-apostate churches that do not kill homosexuals and that preach, according to the Bible, that God condemns homosexuality.

In contrast, Muslim nations that champion murder of homosexuals are never blacklisted by homosexual activists.

The Advocate has been free to advocate the homosexual sin in the United States, the largest Protestant nation in the world. But would The Advocate be free to advocate the same sin in Saudi Arabia, the most Islamic nation in the world?

Sadly, current America grants excessive freedom to homosexualists — a nonsense never imagined by the U.S. Founders, including the first U.S. president, George Washington, who loathed homosexuality and expelled homosexuals, but never killed them.

As recorded in “The Writings of George Washington” (March 10, 1778, 11:83-84, U.S. Government Printing Office, 1934), George Washington ordered: “At a General Court Marshall … Lieutt. Enslin of Colo. Malcom’s Regiment tried for attempting to commit sodomy, with John Monhort a soldier … and do sentence him to be dismiss’d the service with Infamy. His Excellency the Commander-in-Chief approves the sentence and with Abhorrence and Detestation of such Infamous Crimes orders Liett. Enslin to be drummed out of Camp tomorrow morning by all the Drummers and Fifers in the Army never to return.” (information from William Federer.)

In the other extreme, Saudi Arabia grants no freedom to homosexuals and, additionally, kills them.

So, before attacking allegedly “homophobic” Christians who do not kill homosexuals, I challenge The Advocate and all its supporters to travel to Saudi Arabia and protest in loco homophobic Muslims killing homosexuals. They should hold up signs calling the Saudi dictator a creep. Next, they should return to the U.S. to report if they were successful — of course, if they are allowed to exit Saudi Arabia alive.

Recognizing Rightly Rev. Moon and His Former Personality Cult Among U.S. Conservatives, But Not Seeing Another Blatant, Emerging Messiah

How can the U.S. conservative movement be prone to false messiahs? In fact, how can a man very familiar with the influence of a false messiah among U.S. conservatives have no vision to see another messiah emerging with opportunistic and occultist ambitions among Catholic and Protestant conservatives?

Several years ago, I had long chats with a troubled Protestant who told me how the evangelical conservative movement in the U.S. was apostate and the evidence was the influence of Rev. Moon, a blatant false messiah, among them, especially because of his financial power and resources funding and “helping” them.

In fact, Rev. Moon’s influence was so incontestable that the largest conservative newspaper in America, the Washington Times, was in his hands.

The troubled Protestant, who is a fellow of the Inter-American Institute (IAI), was right. According to his own words in the chats, he was instrumental in the founding of IAI and in inviting and bringing fine minds to IAI.

IAI’s influential man is John Haskins.

Yet, his vision, which was so sharp regarding “apostate” evangelical leaders receiving money from the false messiah, was myopic regarding IAI’s internal affairs and reality.

IAI director, Brazilian philosopher Olavo de Carvalho, is hardly surpassed by Rev. Moon as far as esotericism, occultism and megalomaniac messianism are concerned.

Carvalho founded in Brazil the first school of astrologers some 30 years ago. A Carvalho’s interview with Globo, the main news conglomerate in Brazil, published in May, 25, 2000, titled “A Casual Philosopher” said of him:

“For a time, [Olavo de Carvalho] devoted himself to Islamic studies — learned Arabic and recites the Koran passages — and won an award in Saudi Arabia in 1985 for a 200-page book (unpublished) about Muhammad, wherein he used knowledge of medieval symbolics to interpret episodes from the life of the prophet. He practices Christianity, but he says he would be comfortable to profess Islam. This is because, in his view, Christianity, Islam and Judaism have basically the same goal. The existence of God is to Olavo the supreme obviousness, the founding basis of everything.”

The interview was kept for 17 years in Carvalho’s personal website but was immediately removed after the publication of my article “What Draws Olavo de Carvalho to the United States?”

Today, Carvalho brazenly says in Portuguese: “Protestantism was born from hatred and blood thirst. Its Christian inspiration is ZERO.”

Nevertheless, IAI Protestant members cannot read and understand his nonsense and even foul language, because he expresses them only in Portuguese.

His anti-Protestant diatribe is brazen for his ingratitude. Even labeling himself a “Catholic” (who would be comfortable to profess Islam), he did not want to stay in Brazil, the largest Catholic nation in the world. Instead, he chose self-exile, living as an immigrant in the largest Protestant nation in the world, even though he despises Protestantism. His blatant inconsistency led me to write: “What Draws Olavo de Carvalho to the United States?”

As to Haskins, his troubled soul sees U.S. evangelical churches as “apostate” but is unable to see similar spiritual deceitfulness and dishonesty in the Brazilian self-exiled immigrant he chose to head IAI.

Why is not he able to see in Carvalho the same spiritual fraudulence he rightly saw in Rev. Moon and his conservative movement in America?

Has Carvalho funded him as Rev. Moon allegedly, according to Haskins’s words, funded U.S. evangelical leaders? Has Carvalho bought his silence?

Haskins knows that Carvalho is wrong on important issues. In 2013, when Carvalho began to revile me and attack me because I disagreed with him over his strident advocacy of the Inquisition’s revisionism, Haskins, who also silently disagreed with Carvalho on this issue, magnificently helped me write an article titled “Can a Pro-Life Activist Defend The Inquisition?” Many ideas in the article, including a comparison between the abortion industry and the Inquisition, came directly from Haskins, who nevertheless did not want to be credited for his extraordinary ideas. He preferred anonymity.

Carvalho is not a lesser bragging megalomaniac than Rev. Moon was, especially as far as an exotic conservatism is concerned. Carvalho’s alleged “anti-communism” came from what he learned in the Traditionalist School, which fused anti-Marxism conservatism with New Age ideas. The Traditionalist School was founded by the Islamic esotericist René Guénon, and Carvalho was one of the main introducers of this sorcerer and his New Age ideas in Brazil. Besides, he translated into Portuguese one of Guénon’s books.

Carvalho’s spirituality is syncretic, as syncretic are usually Catholics in Brazil. This is why spiritualism, esotericism, astrology, New Age ideas and Afro-Brazilian religions similar to voodoo are so popular among Brazilian Catholics. Paulo Coelho, a Brazilian esoteric writer, has books published by HarperCollins, the biggest publishing house in the United States, and among his admirers are Will Smith, Madonna and former U.S. President Bill Clinton. Brazil is deeply esoteric and spiritualist and in this reality Coelho is just a mystic “Catholic.” Even though he is not as popular as Coelho, is it a wonder Carvalho’s considerable popularity among syncretic right-wing Catholics in Brazil?

But not only syncretic Catholics have been affected by his ideas. Fábio Blanco, one of the most passionate evangelical followers of Carvalho, even calling him a “father” in the Father’s Day, produced two revealing texts on May 2017. In one, titled “The Scientist and The Occultist,” he said, “The occultist is just a scientist.” In another, titled “Esotericism and Reformed Principles,” he complained, “In the Protestant view, there is just a simple division: believers and non-believers. To address esotericism, in this context, is impossible.”

In his search for conservative knowledge, he was engulfed by a seductive gnosis that drew him always from the Bible knowledge and the genuine conservatism the Bible produces in its readers.

Carvalho’s “philosophical” influence exhales esotericism on his Catholic and Protestant followers, drawing them away from the Bible and bringing them more and more to him and his gnostic ideas.

How cannot Haskins discern such influence?

Haskins is a very intelligent man and he has invaluable insights but his misguided vision, perhaps impaired by mysterious interests, has hindered him from seeing in Carvalho the same opportunistic and spiritually harmful conservatism he sees in Rev. Moon.

Yet, if he can accept Carvalho with his occult, mysterious and suspicious background, why cannot he accept Pat Robertson, Matt Barber, Scott Lively and other fine evangelical leaders? They are not apostate.

If he is able to see the damaging nature of Rev. Moon’s anticommunist messianism, why cannot he see the damaging nature of Carvalho’s anticommunist messianism? After all, he is not so smart as he imagines to be.

A self-professing Christian who does not see Carvalho’s spiritually syncretic, occult and damaging “conservatism” may be in a serious state of apostasy and, certainly, his spiritual vision is impaired.

If Robertson, Barber, Lively and other U.S. evangelical leaders are in an apostate pit, where is Carvalho? Where is Haskins?

Jesus said,

“You blind guides, straining out a gnat and swallowing a camel!” (Matthew 23:24 ESV)

Haskins has been straining out U.S. evangelical “gnats” and swallowing a Brazilian esoteric camel!

If, as Haskins believes, Rev. Moon’s influence on the U.S. conservative movement was damaging, what kind of influence does he think Carvalho has had on the Catholic conservative movement in Brazil?

How to explain that the man who is right on the false messiah in America has chosen not to see the exotic conservative messianism in a pseudo-Catholic self-exiled immigrant from Brazil?

If Carvalho’s influence on Catholic Brazilians is harmful, why has Haskins been working to extend it in America?

Recently, Carvalho launched a Brazilian movie, titled “The Garden of Afflictions,” exalting himself — a personality cult that is a typical behavior of Marxists and false messiahs as Rev. Moon, who was as conservative and anti-communist as Carvalho alleges to be. Knowingly or not, Haskins has worked to extend this Brazilian version of personality cult to America by propagandizing IAI.

The movie was directed by Josias Teófilo, whose main occupation was to lecture in theosophical lodges in several Brazilian cities. In 2014, in a speech at the Sírius Theosophical Lodge in Campina Grande, he spoke about the importance of Helena Petrovna Blavatsky’s spiritualist vision. Blavatsky, a pioneer in the New Age movement and the co-founder of the Theosophical Society in 1875, was an occultist, spirit medium. So no one better than Teófilo, an esotericist, to introduce another esotericist, Carvalho.

The movie was produced thanks to the donations of Carvalho’s followers, who follow him just as Moonies follow Rev. Moon and do whatever he commands them. By the way, one of the most prominent Brazilian Moonies was José Osvaldo de Meira Penna, who was profoundly connected to Carvalho.

Carvalho’s daughter Heloisa De Carvalho Martin Arribas has publicly exposed, on a June 27, 2017 Facebook post, that there was no accountability for the donations, adding that “he who takes money from honest people and deceives them is in the least a swindler.”

Not much different from the past. Students in the old school of astrologers sued their teacher, Carvalho, for swindle.

Not much different from Rev. Moon, who also was sued for swindle.

Carvalho’s daughter confirmed, in a Facebook post, that the movement of her father is similar to Rev. Moon’s movement.

Evidently, Carvalho is not as famous, in the U.S. and internationally, as Rev. Moon is. But what is Haskins waiting to see in him the same fraudulence and personality cult he sees in Rev. Moon?

If the new messiah becomes famous in the U.S., it will be by the virtue of IAI and Haskins.

Yet, an awareness effort can help. About ten years ago, I launched a successful campaign in Brazil about Rev. Moon’s harmful influence among evangelical conservative leaders, even in the Evangelical Parliamentary Caucus. Many evangelicals were warned.

I had also been invited by Moonies to be a part of their movement, with tempting offers, and their special temptation was an official invitation for me to write in the Washington Times. I refused the invitations, because I cannot work for false messiahs.

May my new awareness effort, about an emerging messiah, be helpful to evangelicals in Brazil.
