Brazil president, a former Communist guerrilla, to receive “apologies” from political ally for “torture”

Brazil president, a former Communist guerrilla, to receive “apologies” from political ally for “torture”

By Julio Severo
The Rio de Janeiro state government said Friday it will apologize to Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff for the “human rights abuses” she suffered during the country’s 1961-1985 military administration.
Dilma Rousseff, former Marxist guerrilla
Rousseff is a former Marxist guerrilla who spent three years in prison during the military administration and was allegedly tortured. She participated in the militant activities of Marxist organizations Colina and Val-Palmares. Dilma’s role in these militant organizations has been obscure, but she had been dubbed a “pope of subversion”. Colina and Val-Palmares were involved in armed attacks, kidnappings and bank robberies.
Rousseff will receive apologies from Rio governor Sergio Cabral, a strong political ally of the ruling Workers’ Party in Brazil, on June 4 for the imprisonment and torture she suffered in the state. The Workers’ Party is the party of Rousseff and Luiz Inácio “Lula” da Silva
Rousseff will also receive the equivalent of $10,000.
Earlier this week, Rousseff swore in the seven members of a truth commission created to investigate “human rights abuses” under the military administration. The commission will investigate alleged abuses only from the Brazilian military against armed leftist militants. No investigation has been planned about civilian and military victims of leftist groups. Marxists had been fighting, since the 1930s, to overthrow the Brazilian government and install a Soviet Union-style government.
A study by the Rousseff administration concluded last year that 475 militants were killed or “disappeared” by agents of the military administration. Relatives of these militants have already been receiving multimillion-dollar compensations since the administration of former president Fernando Henrique Cardoso, a former professor of Marxism, whereas civilian and military victims of Marxist groups have been consistently left uncompensated and with no apologies.

Impunity for criminals and disarmament for victims

Impunity for criminals and disarmament for victims

Defenseless Brazilian women vs. a young American mother prepared to defend herself

By Julio Severo
What happens when a robber invades a house at night and finds a young woman?

In Brazil, here is what happens, according to several Brazilian newspapers:

Gazeta Digital of April 29, 2012: Man invades a house and rapes a 21 year-old woman, in Cuiabá. The crime happened Sunday morning (29). After the victim’s husband left for work, the robber took advantage to enter in the house. According to the police, he raped the woman and fled taking a cell phone, a notebook and a wallet.
Impacto of January 10, 2012: Attacker invades a residence and rapes a 13 year-old girl.
Repórter MT of December 1, 2011: Gang invades a house, ties husband and rapes his wife: Four armed men tortured the wealthy Ávila family on Wednesday night (30). According to the Civil Police, the criminals, besides robbing the family, raped the lady of the house, during the robbery. A female cousin of the family was able to flee from the group, which had also tried to rape her.
Guia Campina of April 18, 2012: Woman was overtaken by a robber inside of her room, and was raped. The police have not be able to identify the man who invaded a house this Wednesday at dawn, where he attacked and raped a woman and later fled taking a bicycle, money and some objects. The woman told the police that she was sleeping in her bedroom with their three children when she was overtaken by a stranger who attacked her armed with a machete and forced her to have sexual relations with him. Her husband was working in a factory.
MidiaMaxNews of February 28, 2012: Two young women, one 14 and the other 24, were raped by a man who invaded the house where they live about 3:40 on Monday.

90% of all of homicides in Brazil unsolved

In Google, I found countless cases of Brazilian girls and women raped at night by robbers who invaded their houses. When an attacker invades a house at night and finds a man, the robbery may be followed by murder. But when the victim is a woman alone, whose husband is working, rape is inevitable.
And a poor and defenseless woman cannot even utter complain to the criminals, who have total freedom to torture, rape and kill. If the criminal chooses to kill the victim, the police can do very little, before or after the murder. The Brazilian police have been powerless in their efforts to stop more than 50 thousand murders a year — not to mention untold thousands of rapes.
About 90% of the cases of homicides committed in Brazil are never solved and their perpetrators are never found guilty, according to the president of the National Association of the Federal Criminal Experts, Hélio Buchmüller. That is, 90% of murders in Brazil go unpunished.
Who can say that in cases of rape even more go unpunished?
It is obvious that the government-sponsored media and the government itself educate the population to trust only in the police for protection. Thus, if a robber suddenly invades the home of a young woman in the middle of the night, she should kindly ask for his permission to call the police. If the criminal is kind, both may remain seated on a sofa awaiting the police. Certainly, the end will be very happy and no rape will happen!
Maybe the anti-gun government should launch a public campaign to educate criminals to allow their victims to call the police during robberies, rapes and murders. This would greatly help the police and victims.
Sadly, criminals will never pay attention to government anti-gun campaigns, or campaigns demanding that criminals be kind to their victims. They will never give their victims a chance. And the Brazilian police, with their overload of crime cases to solve, could never afford to respond quickly to all emergencies.
So what should a victim do to defend herself?

In the United States, here is what happens when victims are able to defend themselves:

DailyNews of January 4, 2012:
A recently widowed teen mom shot and killed an intruder to protect her 3-month-old son on New Year’s Eve after asking the 911 operator for permission, local media reported.
Sarah McKinley, 18, was alone with her son in their Blanchard, Okla., home about 2 p.m. Dec. 31 when two men tried to break in, the Oklahoman said. McKinley’s husband had just passed away from lung cancer on Christmas Day.
McKinley grabbed a shotgun, called 911 and begged the operator to send help.
Sarah McKinley
She stayed on the line for a terrifying 21 minutes and asked the dispatcher if it was all right to shoot if the men forced their way in.
“I can’t tell you that you can do that, but you do what you have to do to protect your baby,” the dispatcher told her, according to ABC News.
The young mom fired when Justin Martin, 24, who was wielding a 12-inch knife, kicked his way through the door.
Police arrived to find Martin lying dead on the sofa McKinley had used to barricade the front door, according to Oklahoma's News 9.
His alleged accomplice, Dustin Stewart, 29, was arrested and jailed.
“It’s not an easy decision to make, but it was either going to be him or my son,” McKinley told local TV station KOCO. “And it wasn’t going to be my son. There’s nothing more dangerous than a woman with a child.”
Police say that McKinley was justified in taking action against the intruders once they entered her home.
What is the difference between that American young mother and the Brazilian women who were raped and robbed? Most American women are protected by laws that guarantee their right to have and use guns for personal defense. Brazilian women don’t have any state protection against a sudden home invasion in the middle of the night.

Impunity for the criminals and disarmament for the victims

Recent report of Examiner found that the number of murders in Brazil is higher than the number of deaths in global war zones. On average, there are 50,000 murders a year in Brazil. With such a high number, it is no surprise that 90% of the murderers in Brazil go unpunished.
In Brazil, citizens have no choice: either they provide for their personal defense, or they are at the mercy of criminals and rely on a police force that is unable to address an overwhelming 50,000 murders a year.
Years ago, in an article in the Brazilian leftist Presbyterian magazine Ultimato defending the anti-gun government campaign to disarm the population, Ricardo Gondim, today a Protestant minister isolated for his ideological radicalism in the name of the Bible, said that Christians supporting guns for personal defense are not allowed to mention Bible texts such as Psalm 91: “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the LORD, ‘My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.’” (Psalms 91:1-2 ESV)
My public answer to him was:
The vast majority of the Psalms were written by David, who asked for protection and help from God. But he also did his part: he usually used a sword, a mortal weapon equivalent to a modern military rifle. When the Lord Jesus instructed us to pray asking for “our daily bread”, he did not mean that we should stay idle and let only God do his part. As in the case of David, we need to do our part, for our maintenance and for the defense of our families. I trust in the Lord Jesus and have I never touched a gun in my life. But I know God’s Word enough to understand that just because I don’t use a gun I cannot condemn people who needs to use it. In fact, there are occasions and situations when its use is necessary. But Communists don’t think this way. For them, the population should stay eternally unarmed before their tyrannies.
Gondim has already fallen from his pedestal, and today his ideas are rightly seen as madness.
However, there are other Brazilian evangelical leaders that make alliances with the government in its communist goal of disarming the population. Rio de Paz, founded and headed by the Presbyterian minister Antonio Carlos Costa, is the largest evangelical anti-gun organization in Brazil. Its purpose is to disarm the Brazilian population, and it has successfully enlisted many Protestant churches in its campaigns.
This communist radicalism contrasts with Presbyterian conservative tradition, which left as its legacy, in Switzerland (whose capital was a Holy See of Calvinism), the armed defense as the citizen’s right. In America, Calvinism has also established that right.
But how does the most prominent Presbyterian organization in Brazil in that issue work to achieve the communist goal of disarming the population?
It is evident that all the criminals should be disarmed. All the murderers and rapists should have no access to any gun.
It is equally evident that all the law-abiding citizens need guns and other resources in the war against crime, which Brazil is losing, with 90% of the murderers enjoying full impunity and freedom to continue killing and raping.
It would be a crime to leave your wife alone home with no defense. Brazilian parents and husbands do it because the State doesn’t allow them to defend themselves as needed. Communist interests of subduing and disarming the population are much more important, for the government, than the well-being of the families.
However, regardless the government obsessions, to defend your life and family is an indispensable human right. If we can have doors and windows locked as minimum resource of protection, why not larger resources able to match the critical situation of “war” in Brazil, where thieves invade houses in the middle of the night to steal, kill and rape?
Of course, even with the right to have and use a gun for defense, the police are necessary. While the 18 year-old mother awaits the arrival of the police, she has the right to do everything necessary to defend herself and her baby from criminals that are invading her house in the middle of the night.
With two guns in her hands, a young mother has, in the USA, some chance against two robbers. In Brazil, she doesn't have any chance. She depends on the criminals’ “good will.” By government determination, she is forced to be totally unarmed before criminals avid of robberies, rapes and murders.

The Left, abortion and personal defense

Of course, the comparison between Brazilian women and American women is limited. Legally, an American woman can defend herself of criminals. But that same law gives her the right to behave as a criminal: She can also kill, before the birth, how many babies she wants. American law protects babies’ murder during the nine months of gestation. Nazis would applaud the American “progress” of the legal and medical slaughter of the innocent. The Left howls of joy with the well-known American example of “interrupting” pregnancies by highly sophisticate medical and legal cruelty.
According to the schizophrenic American law, if two criminals decide to invade the sanctuary of the home in the middle of the night, a 18 year-old mother can, to defend herself, shoot. That same law allows her, with a doctor’s help, to invade the sanctuary of the womb to annihilate its occupant.
In the case of an invading robber, who is responsible for his wicked action, he can be left alive or dead, depending where the bullets hit. But when a doctor’s murderous instruments, by the woman’s will, invade the shrine of the womb, the unborn baby is totally unarmed and innocent against his imminent extermination.
Many of those murders of innocent are funded by tax-money that the US government takes from its citizens.
That is surely a Nazi, communist, dictatorial, disgusting and murderous aspect of the American laws and freedoms.
However, the Brazilian Left, which has been making sacrifices to import to the Brazilian culture abortion, homosexuality and everything most rotten in the American laws and usages, shuts its eyes to personal defense and other positive aspects of the American culture, as homeschooling.
For many years the powerful murderous American Left has aimed at Brazil.
Family planning, with many of its micro-abortive methods, was introduced in the public health-care services in Brazil decades ago, by pressures and schemes behind the scenes of Planned Parenthood Federation, the largest network of abortion clinics in America. They were not successful until now to legalize abortion because Brazil has been resisting in a ferocious way. The same American multibillion-dollar forces that legalized abortion in America in 1973, ever since murdering more than 50 million unborn babies, for many years have been investing so that Brazil may also have eventually the “right” of murdering millions of its babies.
In the abortion issue, the traditional “anti-American” Left in Brazil is willing and avid of importing everything that comes from America. It loves abortion! Equally, it loves unarmed citizens.
However, Brazilian mothers don’t need the “right” of killing their babies in order to satisfy the murderous passions of multimillion-dollar leftist foundations in America.
They need, urgently, the fundamental human right of defending themselves and their babies against the dangers and unexpected evils of a Brazilian society abandoned to strongly armed criminals and to ideological criminals that are determined to disarm the population of their resources to defend their families.
Mothers should legally be armed to defend themselves from criminals, not to kill their babies.
Mothers and babies need defense, not abortion.

Leading the world by evil example: Obama and gay “marriage”

Leading the world by evil example: Obama and gay “marriage”

By Julio Severo
President Barack Obama’s announcement May 9 that he supports gay marriage boosted the hopes of gay supremacist groups around the world that other leaders will follow his example.
“This is incredibly important, it’s excellent news. The United States is a global leader on everything, and that includes gay rights,” said Julio Moreira, president of the Rio de Janeiro-based Arco-Iris gay supremacist group. “This will force other nations like Brazil to move forward with more progressive policies.”
Follow his example?
Last December the Obama administration directed U.S. agencies working abroad, including the State Department and the U.S. Agency for International Development, to use foreign aid to assist homosexual militants. The picture is gloomy: the developing world is under an aggressive US pressure to decriminalize homosexual acts. African nations refusing to comply are denied vital aid.
The Obama support for gay “marriage” came in a long trail of legal and political favors granted by his administration to gays. Even though he used words of Jesus and the Bible to justify his newest gay stance (from his old stance as a leftist senator defending gay “marriage”), Obama was unable to avoid widespread criticism, especially from Catholic and Pentecostal leaders, who believe that God created Adam and Eve. They do not believe that God created sex for two Adams or two Eves, who, by the way, were never created by God.
Political leaders and others opposed to gay “marriage” criticized Obama’s evil example. In particular, Pentecostal and Catholic politicians have spoken out strongly against gay “marriage” in Latin America.
His recent stance has been massively picked, praised and advanced by the world liberal media, pushing his evil example on the nations.
From now on, will nations, embattled by homosexualist attacks, get support (or US aid) to defend the natural family?
Even without his evil example, nations have been under huge pressure from leftist forces to embrace the gay agenda.
Brazil’s Supreme Court approved civil unions last year, striking down an article in the Brazilian Constitution that explicitly reserved marriage and civil unions only to a man and a woman. Liberal justices, appointed by leftist Brazilian presidents, put their ideology and gay supremacism over the Constitution. Their judicial activism has effectively opened the door for gay “marriage” in Brazil.
Nevertheless, Catholic and evangelical politicians continue to block the approval of any legislation in Brazilian Congress enshrining gay “marriage”.
Now, the world and Brazil embattled by homosexualist attacks have bigger leftist forces to face, because whatever happens in America, the rest of the world follows, willingly or not.

Vatican to the UN: all parents have the right to homeschool

Vatican to the UN: all parents have the right to homeschool

by Ben Johnson
TURTLE BAY, NEW YORK, May 1, 2012, (LifeSiteNews.com) — In a significant victory for parental rights worldwide, a Vatican representative said all parents have the right to homeschool their children.
“The State should respect the choices that parents make for their children and avoid attempts at ideological indoctrination,” the permanent observer mission of the Holy See to the United Nations wrote in a statement released last Tuesday.
Parents “have the right and duty to choose schools inclusive of homeschooling, and they must possess the freedom to do so, which in turn, must be respected and facilitated by the State.”
“That’s huge,” said Jeremiah Lorrig, director of media relations at the Home School Legal Defense Association (HSLDA), told LifeSiteNews.com. “Having the support of the Vatican ambassador would invaluable to the homeschool movement.”
A growing number of parents opt to educate their children at home because of the poor quality of schools available, or because schools increasingly promote values that conflict with traditional Christian morality.
Last July, Governor Jerry Brown signed a bill requiring California public schools to teach “the role and contributions of” homosexuals in American history.

“The purpose of this program is very obvious and that is to promote social acceptance of homosexuality, transsexuality to all children, and at the same time to silence those who have religious or moral beliefs against such lifestyles,” Brad Dacus, president of the Pacific Justice Institute, told LifeSiteNews.com.
The problem did not begin with any one bill, he said. “California school districts already were implementing pro-homosexual orientation programs, also cross-dresser/transvestite sensitivity programs, before S.B. 48 was even drafted as legislation, much less become law,” Dacus said. For example, Redwood Heights Elementary School in Oakland implemented a “gender identity” curriculum. “These programs were already being implemented from high school all the way down to kindergarten or preschoolers,” he said.
“This kind of material only makes it more confusing and more to make decisions as well as solidifying a sexual orientation different than what is mentally and physically healthy for a child,” Dacus told LifeSiteNews.
In many nations, parents are denied the basic right to choose their children’s education. Last October, a committee of the Brazilian Congress decreed that homeschooling “disrespects the Constitution, the Penal Code, the National Education Guidelines and Basic Law and the Child and Adolescent Statute.” The state of homeschooling in Germany is so bad a family fled to Iran for the right to homeschool their children.
“Raising awareness is key,” Lorrig told LifeSiteNews. “In a lot of these countries that have very restrictive laws against homseschooling, people are losing their children.”
The problem exists in the United States, as well, he said. Pacific Justice Institute and HSLDA defended California homeschoolers from a California Supreme Court ruling that sought to restrict their rights.
Lorrig told LifeSiteNews the greatest problem is uncertainty. “You never know where the brushfires are going to break out,” he said. For instance, HSLDA had to battle a Mississippi judge, who tried to impose greater restrictions on homeschooling parents. “There’s never homeschool problems in Mississippi,” Lorrig said.
HSLDA won those cases. “But it’s a constant tug-of-war between homeschool liberty and the desire to control parents,” Lorrig said.
The support of the Vatican will make a welcome change to HSLDA’s international outreach. “We actually find ourselves battling the UN, especially with the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child,” said Lorrig.
Ratifying the treaty, he warned, could erode parental rights over education and many other aspects of their minors’ lives. “Constitutionally speaking, it would completely change the structure of family policy in the United States, undermine sovereignty, and put that authority in the hands of remote, self-described experts,” Lorrig said.
HSLDA facilitates or advises legal work on behalf of homeschoolers in about 25 nations around the world.

Fatal mistake: Chinese pro-life activist seeking help from US government

Fatal mistake: Chinese pro-life activist seeking help from US government

American authorities deceive Chinese activist and deliver him to the den of Chinese communist lions

By Julio Severo
Chen Guangcheng, a pro-life activist in China, made the fatal mistake of seeking help from the US Embassy in China.
Chen Guangcheng
He was under house arrest in his home province, but other human rights activists made enormous sacrifices, risking their lives to elaborate a plan for him to flee to the US Embassy, where everyone thought refuge was guaranteed.
Everyone hoped he would ask for asylum, but the developments, unfolding in view of the international media, took an untoward turn. Chen, who is blind from childhood and has health problems after years of prison and torture, was promised by American authorities that he could stay in China and receive medical treatment, with an American companion present at all times.
As reported by the press and the US Embassy, Chen himself “wanted” to stay in China. This “decision” freed Hillary Clinton from diplomatic and commercial complications during her visit to China. After all, America has immense commercial interests in China, and Chen was being a thorn in the side for the Chinese and American governments.
Hillary was satisfied with the Chen’s “decision” not to seek asylum, saying that his exiting the embassy reflected his “choices” and the “values” of the USA. Meanwhile, the American officials breathed a sigh of relief at being able to return this thorny problem back to the Chinese!
However, after his transfer to a hospital in Peking, no American official stayed with him. The American commitment, made to a desperate soul, was insincere.
“They pressed me to leave, they promised that there would be people with me in the hospital, but when I entered my room, I perceived that everybody had left,” Chen revealed, according a report by the Brazilian newspaper Estadão.
When contacted at the hospital by the international media, he admitted the obvious: he could not request asylum from the US government, because his family was under a direct death threat and he was under pressure. According to his statement, if he dared to leave for America, Chinese authorities would have killed his wife and children.
Embassy officials were indifferent and evasive, stating they had not heard about any threat or pressure on Chen. Evidently, according to them, the entire sacrifice made for Chen to arrive at the embassy was just a noble gesture, sort of a way of saying “hi” to the Americans. Nothing else. After six days of being sheltered in the embassy and saying “hi,” at last the Chinese activist “chose” to leave and to stay in his homeland, to the relief of the Chinese and American governments,.
Chen’s “choice” greatly pleased the US government, because Chen is not the kind of activist that American authorities would have wanted to help. Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton are shamelessly pro-abortion, while Chen is pro-life.
Any individual, no matter how important, who is cruel enough to defend the murder of innocent unborn babies is capable of committing any other sin, including deceiving and lying to a poor, oppressed blind Chinese man who sees more of the true value of life than most representatives of the Chinese and American governments.
The communist government in China had always lied to the Chinese people and to Chen. And now Chen has the unpleasant experience of enduring attitudes that are not very different and total abandonment by a government that claims to stand for human rights, a government he had supposed was radically different from his.
But what would have happened if the US government had not been deceptive and if Chen had been granted asylum in the US? Would he have pursued his cause of denouncing the crime of abortion? In that case, the aim of the accusations would have been US officials themselves. This would certainly have been a major problem!
The kind of human rights work carried out by Chen doesn’t have the US government’s sympathy.
An unborn baby legally murdered in a US abortion clinic
For 39 years, pro-abortion law has reigned in what was until recently the biggest evangelical nation in the world. If it is horrific for a communist nation like China to defend abortion tooth and nail, what about an evangelical nation?
The fact is, self-proclaimed “evangelicals” Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Bill Clinton and other powerful American officials have no any interest in rescuing men that publicly plead for the rescue of the unborn.
Chen’s presence in the US Embassy in Peking was an inconvenience. His presence in America as a prominent pro-life activist would be a bigger inconvenience.
And yet if Chen were a homosexual activist, his presence in the embassy would be welcomed. Obama and Clinton would be highly supportive. In fact, since December of 2011, US embassies and consulates have been ordered by government to grant preferential treatment to gay activists.
For the US government, meeting homosexual demands is vastly more important than stopping the murder of unborn babies!
Disoriented and desperate, Chen doesn’t know what to do, except to direct appeal to the nation that was insincere and unfair to him: “I would like to ask to president Obama, I beg him, to do everything he can so that our family may leave.”
Perhaps, under pressure from the countless pro-life Americans, Obama may still act against his own pro-abortion conscience and give a chance to a defenseless Chinese surrounded by oppressors in the service of the State. Perhaps.
American pro-life activist arrested and brutalized by police for the “crime” of praying in front of an abortion clinic
However, certainly, his oppression will not end in America, where pro-life activists are viciously arrested by police for the “crime” of praying in front of an abortion clinic, while murderous physicians and employees serenely kill babies under the protection of a law that, in many respects, is no better than Nazi law, which relegated Jews and other defenseless human beings to a class worthy of extermination. In America, unborn babies fall in that unhappy category.
American police arrests a young man that was praying in front of an abortion clinic. In America, abortion is legally sacred.
If he wants help from the US government, Chen will need to pray, fast and wait for a long time until a new Ronald Reagan appears. But if he wants help from higher up, he won’t need to wait for decades or centuries, because God says:
“Do not trust influential people, mortals who cannot help you. When they breathe their last breath, they return to the ground. On that day their plans come to an end. Blessed are those who receive help from the God of Jacob. Their hope rests on the LORD their God, who made heaven, earth, the sea, and everything in them. The LORD remains faithful forever. He brings about justice for those who are oppressed. He gives food to those who are hungry. The LORD sets prisoners free. The LORD gives sight to the blind. The LORD straightens the backs of those who are bent over. The LORD loves righteous people.” (Psalms 146:3-8 GWV)
