City Liberated from ISIS or ISIS Liberated from City?

President Donald Trump hailed the
defeat of ISIS last October in the Syrian city of Raqqa — the last major urban
stronghold of Islamic State (ISIS).

Trump said, “ISIS strongholds in
Mosul and Raqqa” have been liberated “as a result” of orders he gave to U.S.
commanders during his first days in office. “We have made, alongside our
coalition partners, more progress against these evil terrorists in the past
several months than in the past several years.”
These
“U.S.-backed forces” and “U.S. coalition partners” included Saudi Arabia and
Syrian rebels, supported formerly by Obama and now supported by Trump.
Result?
Even though many reports have indicated a full victory with an expected
extinction of ISIS in its capital in Syria, the reality was different. There
was no extinction.
According
to DailyMail, 4,000 ISIS militants and their families were reportedly allowed
to leave Raqqa in a long four-mile convoy, adding: “Witnesses said it included
‘huge’ numbers of foreign fighters – including some English speakers — who are
said to have since spread out across Syria and into Turkey, potentially en
route to Europe.”

The
“U.S.-backed forces” and “U.S. coalition partners” monitored the convoy from
the air, dropping flares to help ISIS drivers in the 163 vehicles, including
lorries and buses, navigate the road.
My heart cries because when
Christians in Syria and Iraq were being decimated by ISIS, there were no
“U.S.-backed forces” and “U.S. coalition partners” monitoring and protecting
Christian convoys to escape ISIS. In fact, while ISIS has modern, American
cars, Christians persecuted by ISIS had no modern cars to escape.
They had no tons of weapons and
ammunition to defend themselves from ISIS.
Christians did not escape, because
no one helped them. ISIS escaped.

How could this sad result be
different? Syrian rebels have largely helped ISIS and fought against the Syrian
government, the only real local resistance to ISIS.
Like ISIS, Syrian rebels, supported
by Saudi Arabia and the U.S. since Obama, also persecute and slaughter
Christians.
Had
United States under Obama and has the United Sates under Trump permission to
invade Syria? No, but even so they did it. If Trump wanted to fight ISIS in
Syria, he could not have a partnership with Saudi Arabia, an ally of ISIS. And
he needed permission from the Syrian government and to stop funding and arming Syrian
rebels who since Obama fight to overthrow the Syrian government.
Russia is in Syria by direct
permission of the Syrian government. It is doubtful that Russia would allow
ISIS terrorists to escape Raqqa. But the U.S. and its coalition partners did
just it.
Christians in the West can never
forget that ISIS is a machine of genocide against Christians in Syria and Iraq.
Why did the U.S. and its coalition
partners allow this machine of genocide to escape?
It is time for the U.S. to sit at
the table and invite Syria to be a partner, because only Syria has been
fighting decisively against ISIS.
It is time for the U.S. to
apologize for supporting Syrian rebels since Obama and for invading Syria
without the permission of its government.
It
is time for the U.S. to apologize to Syria because Obama created ISIS, which has
devastated the Syrian Christian population.
If the U.S. can have Saudi Arabia,
the main sponsor of Islamic terrorism around the world and no friend of
Christians, as a partner, why cannot the U.S. have as a partner Syria, whose
Christian population was the main victim of Saudi-backed ISIS?
Raqqa
was not liberated from ISIS. ISIS was liberated from Raqqa.
