Trump’s State Department Recognizes June as LGBTI Pride Month

Trump’s State Department Recognizes June as LGBTI Pride Month

By Julio Severo
U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson recognized June as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex (LGBTI) Pride Month — continuing the tradition of the State Department of Hillary Clinton under former president Barack Obama.
Rex Tillerson and Trump
“In recognition of LGBTI Month, the Department of State affirms its solidarity with the human rights defenders and civil society organizations working around the world to uphold the fundamental freedoms of LGBTI persons to live with dignity and freedom,” Tillerson said in a statement.
U.S. embassies and consulates have also received guidance from the State Department allowing them to recognize the LGBTI Pride Month.
Tillerson condemned “violence and discrimination” against homosexuals in foreign nations, stopping just short of condemning Saudi Arabia and other Islamic nations that torture and murder homosexuals.
Meanwhile, Trump has yet to publicly implore his ally, Saudi Arabia, to stop murdering its homosexual citizens.
Tillerson continued in his statement, “The United States remains committed to human rights and fundamental freedoms for all persons. Dignity and equality for all persons are among our founding constitutional principles, and these principles continue to drive U.S. diplomacy.”
The same homosexual principles that drove U.S. diplomacy under Obama now drive the U.S. diplomacy under Trump. The only difference is that while Obama was vocal about these principles, Trump gives a tacit support, by allowing his own administration to speak for himself. If the saying “silence means assent” is correct, Trump’s “silence” is a message.
Tillerson is no stranger to supporting the LGBT agenda. A former national president of Boy Scouts of America, he was a vocal, instrumental and effective force in ending the ban on gay Scout leaders.
The Baptist Press reported in 2013 that Tillerson, a Congregationalist Protestant, met with the Southern Baptist Convention’s Frank Page, and explained why he believed the Boy Scout’s policy against open homosexuals should be overturned.
“There are changing cultural winds on the issue of homosexuality,” Tillerson said.
“He prayed on it, and ultimately he came to the conclusion the only thing that can guide him here is what’s best for the young boys,” John Hammer of the Center for Strategic and International Studies told the Dallas News in 2014.
In extraordinary contrast, Russia came to the conclusion the only thing that can protect young boys from predatory homosexuality is a ban on homosexual propaganda, and Russia approved such ban in 2013.
Obama used the U.S. government to lead the world, by his bad example, into accepting the homosexual lifestyle as normal. By tacit or explicit support, the Trump administration is leading the world in the same bad example.
Trump is a man who speaks, and does it strongly on strong issues. His silence while powerful members of his administration promote the homosexual agenda is a strong sign that he approves it and that in due time he will strongly defend the same issues they are defending.
The State Department has international power and its homosexual decisions harm the international community, which was tired of Obama’s homosexual imperialism. Why continue this imperialism?
America’s influence cannot to be underestimated. The homosexual movement became active in Brazil by direct cultural effect from America, including her politics and Hollywood.
Brazil, which is the largest Catholic nation in the world, is also one of the biggest imitators of the most depraved aspects of the U.S. culture. With such knowledge, I wrote in 1998 the book “O Movimento Homossexual” (The Homosexual Movement), published by the Brazilian branch of Bethany House Publishers, explaining how the homosexual movement would increase in Brazil just by imitating America, including with homosexual indoctrination in the schools.
People called me crazy in the late 1990s, saying that Brazilian schools would never have homosexual indoctrination. But today they have it. America affects Brazil, for better or worse.
Obama’s and Clinton’s bad example in homosexual politics affected Brazil. Trump administration’s bad example will affect Brazil and other nations.
Trump’s silence, while his State Department actively praises the homosexual abnormality in the international community, is sheer connivance. To recognize a LGBTI month as a cause for “pride” is a stupid praise. Homosexuality is a cause of shame and scandals, not pride. Why then is Trump’ State Department so proud of a LGBT month?
When employees openly encourage wickedness under the silence of their boss, his silence is connivance.
Homosexuality is a disgrace and wherever it is present, perversion is its result. The biggest scandals in the Catholic Church today are caused by homosexual priests. Homosexuality is a cause of shame and scandals, not pride, in the Catholic Church and other institutions.
Why does Trump’s State Department want to praise and encourage in the international community a behavioral abnormality and perversion that causes scandals and tragedy to children? Why does not the State Department engage itself in an international campaign to protect children from the homosexual propaganda and its evils?
I admired when America, her presidents and administrations praised and encouraged people to read the Bible, which condemns homosexuality.
George Washington, the first U.S. president, condemned homosexuality. The only proper diplomatic attitude to homosexuality is condemnation and discouragement.
Washington’s attitude was a good example. What Obama’s State Department did and what Trump’s State Department is doing is bad example.
Of course, extremist groups should be condemned. Some pro-Inquisition Catholics advocate capital punishment for homosexuals, and I have publicly rebuked them for it in my article “A Global Inquisition to Put Homosexuals to Death?” Yet, extremist groups should not be used as excuse to protect predatory homosexuality. Children, not homosexual propaganda, need protection.
Probably, the Trump administration is supporting the homosexual agenda to please the Left, which even so is not pleased, because it wants the whole cake, and Trump is giving them only one slice.
As a Brazilian conservative evangelical, I ask U.S. evangelicals to press the Trump administration to abandon Obama’s homosexual imperialism in the State Department and honor his commitment to his evangelical constituents, who were instrumental for his victory. The Trump administration should defend family against predatory homosexuality, which is a special threat to children.
Trump and Tillerson can learn from Washington’s good example and be a good example for the world.
I am moved and encouraged by Washington’s good example, but I am ashamed by the bad example in Trump’s State Department, which says that it is worried about human rights of homosexuals but neither the White House nor Tillerson have publicly condemned the U.S. ally, Saudi Arabia, for murdering homosexuals.
How can Trump’s State Department and its embassies and consulates say to the world that America is proud of homosexuality? So is America under Trump ashamed of George Washington and the Bible he believed in? Is America under Trump ashamed that the Bible, the Book that made America great, condemns homosexuality?
If Sodom was destroyed over homosexual sin, how does America expect to escape God’s judgment over the same sin?
“Righteousness lifts up a nation, but sin is a disgrace in any society.” (Proverbs 14:34 GWV)
