Hillary Clinton: America should “empathize” and “show respect” to her enemies

Hillary Clinton, who is expected to run for president in 2016, has been criticized after saying that America should “empathize” and “show respect” to her enemies.

Her speech, focused on the promotion of feminist leadership, was given at Georgetown University in Washington D.C., December 3, 2014.

Her feminist approach is for America to use “every possible tool and partner” to advance ‘peace.’ She elaborated that this approach means “showing respect, even for one’s enemies; trying to understand and, insofar as psychologically possible, empathize with their perspective and point of view.” 

How are we supposed to understand her speech? Who are these enemies of America?

We are left at least with three possibilities:

1. Muslims. Muslims, especially from Saudi Arabia, are behind the 9/11 terror attack. But if Clinton wants America to empathize with Muhammad’s followers, she came too late. George W. Bush was a pioneer in calling, immediately after 9/11, Islam a “religion of peace.” So, since Bush, we are left with an impression that Islam is not America’s enemy. If this is the case, Clinton is not referring to Muslims, who have been treated with extreme empathy by the U.S. government. The U.S. love affair with Saudi Arabia is legendary. In this perspective, Muslims are not the U.S. enemies.

2. Conservative Christians. That’s right. According to Whistleblower magazine, America’s enemies are not Islamic jihadists, but conservatives and Christians. Pro-life and pro-family work has been labeled terrorism by the Obama administration. In fact, under former Secretary Hillary Clinton, the U.S. State Department put homosexual rights as a top priority, and now it is not only sponsoring homosexual activism around the world, but has also committed itself to oppose international pro-family Christians engaged against the gay agenda. So obviously these Christians are, for Clinton and Obama, America’s enemies. Now, in an ultimate ‘merciful’ act, does Clinton want the U.S. government to ‘empathize’ and ‘show respect’ to these Christians?

3. Progressives. So her call is self-serving. The real enemies of America are individuals and institutions who want to disfigure her from her original intent. The Founding Fathers were mostly evangelical Christians and intended a nation especially to Christians. Hillary and her husband, former U.S. President Bill, oppose this original form. Obama does too. And by declaring that Islam is a “religion of peace,” even Bush opposed the Founding Fathers’ intent. So, basically, Hillary Clinton meant, “I want America to ‘empathize’ and ‘show respect’ to me, my husband, Obama, Bush and other U.S. presidents for every wicked pro-Islam act that put us on par with America’s enemies.”

Certainly, the Obama administration, the Clinton administration and, sadly, even the Bush administration would ‘empathize’ and ‘show respect’ to themselves. I have enclosed Bush because recently he called Bill Clinton his ‘brother.’ Well, if I called Clinton or Obama a ‘brother,’ I should be considered an enemy of America.

Besides, when Bush called Islam a ‘religion of peace,’ he lied to America and to the world. Clinton and Obama have agreed with and even promoted this lie. This has been deceptive propaganda to America and the world, especially because Islam is, by far, the biggest source of persecution and martyrdom for Christians around the world.

Clinton and Obama are progressive (socialist) Protestants. So they are pro-abortion and pro-sodomy. In contrast, Bush is a generally pro-life and anti-sodomy conservative evangelical. But all of them are proclaimers of Islam as a “religion of peace.” In this respect, all of them have been liars, to the detriment of many thousands of Christians, whose blood has been shed by Islamic butchers every year.

Should America be a friend of Islam? Should America be its chief proclaimer through deception and a sordid partnership with Turkey and Saudi Arabia? Is not proclaiming Islam as a “religion of peace” cowardice and complicity in its many crimes, genocides and slaughters of innocents?

So is it any wonder that, according Dr. Raymond Ibrahim, author of “Crucified Again: Exposing Islam’s New War on Christians,” it is a confirmed fact that America has become the chief facilitator of Christian persecution?

My question to the American people is: Should you ‘empathize’ and ‘show respect’ to Clinton, Obama, Bush and other fellow Americans while they ‘empathize’ and ‘show respect’ to Islam and aided and abetted America to become such facilitator?

Land of Billy Graham legalizes homosexual “marriage” and six judges resign rather than be forced to officiate such perversion

According to WND, with the imposition of the so called homosexual “marriage” in North Carolina, at least six judges have resigned rather than be forced to officiate such unions.

All of them stepped down, since October 10, because they believe marriage is a union between one man and one woman.

The judges are: John Kallam Jr., Gilbert Breedlove, Bill Stevenson, Tommy Holland, Gayle Myrick and Jeff Powell.

By using the foul play of judicial activism, homosexual “marriage” was imposed on North Carolina, the land of Billy Graham, striking down a law passed in 2012 banning gay “marriage,” civil unions and other same-sex partnerships.

This law had been the product of a campaign of evangelical ministers.

Rev. Billy Graham, the most famous evangelist in the world, had always avoided political fights. But in a rare move he entered then in the ballot battle in North Carolina, voicing his solid view:

“Never thought we would have to debate the definition of marriage… The Bible is clear—God’s definition of marriage is between a man and a woman. I want to urge my fellow North Carolinians to vote for the marriage amendment on Tuesday, May 8. God bless you as you vote.”

Graham’s official view was published in full-page ads in 14 North Carolina newspapers. His website encouraged churches to download a poster with his image and the message “Vote for Marriage.”

“Watching the moral decline of our country causes me great concern,” the 93-year-old pastor, who has prayed with every president since Dwight Eisenhower, said, according to CNN, in a statement on the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association website. “I believe the home and marriage is the foundation of our society and must be protected.”

With his important assistance, the law protecting marriage against the homosexual agenda was passed. But the homosexualist force advancing today in the U.S. does not respect anyone: families, children or Christian leaders of international prestige.

Notwithstanding Graham’s influence as the greatest evangelist in the modern history, a coalition of clergy members filed a lawsuit against the law. In the lawsuit, they said that the law violated their religious freedom by banning them from marrying homosexuals. This move was all that the Left needed to apply its judicial activism.

The coalition is led by a group of progressive leaders made up of ministers of the United Church of Christ, Lutheran and Unitarian Universalist churches and a rabbi. They said they did not want to be penalized for following their faith that allows the so called homosexual “marriage.”

“We are taking a stand for the freedom of religion,” said the Rev. Geoffrey Black, president of the United Church of Christ, which is a Protestant denomination with nearly 1 million members nationwide. Their pro-gay “marriage” message was: “Jesus didn’t reject.”

The progressive coalition achieved its aim: it struck down the efforts and sacrifices of Billy Graham and other ministers to protect the traditional marriage against the attacks from homosexual militants.

The critical phase in the war raging today in the U.S. is progressive Protestant ministers raising up to strike down the efforts of pro-family conservative ministers.

It is progressive ministers against conservative ministers. It is fight among brothers. In fact, it is fight of false brothers against true brothers.

A minister fighting to strike down laws against homosexual “marriage” is much more than a big anomaly. It is an aberration nothing different from the sin itself of the homosexual acts.

Yet, what is happening to the U.S. that even in the land of the greatest evangelist in the world homosexual “marriage” has been imposed, with the assistance of apostate ministers? Is this the reign of evil in America? Is this the reign of sodomy in America?

Days ago, Billy Graham said, “America is just as wicked as Sodom and Gomorrah.” And often he mentions, “If God doesn’t punish America, He’ll have to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah.”

Seeing the relentless advance of the gay agenda in the U.S., several American evangelical leaders are investing in the spread of a resistance in other nations. Recently, the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), which is the largest homosexualist group in the U.S., issued a report entitled “Export of Hate,” denouncing American Christian leaders who, contrary to the official U.S. foreign policy promoting the gay agenda around the world, are promoting a global resistance to this agenda.

Of course, when the Evil itself calls it “Export of Hate” is exactly the contrary. Real “Export of Hate” — hate for family, children and Christians — is the U.S. government funding homosexual activism around the world.

I miss the days when the biggest U.S. export was the Gospel of Jesus Christ, with the blessing of the U.S. government. Today, it is sodomy…

The number 1 enemy in the HRC report is Rev. Scott Lively, author of “Pink Swastika,” who has distinguished himself by inspiring Russians to take a solid stand against the Western homosexualist policies. The report also points that in addition to Russia, he also travels to Uganda, Eastern Europe and England.

Lively is the author of an “An Open Letter To President Vladimir Putin,” of 2013, where he says:

“The homosexualist movement is not simply seeking social tolerance, or acceptance, but political power and control. They want the power to stamp out all disapproval of homosexuality in your society and to compel every citizen (especially the youth) to embrace the view that homosexual conduct is good and normal. They ask for a place at the table, but once they have one all the social ideals they exploited to get there, such as social tolerance, freedom of speech, and respect for cultural diversity, are discarded. In place of those ideals is inserted a new backwards and upside-down morality and world-view that condemns all disapproval of homosexuality as a new fictionalized form of bigotry. I have termed this phenomenon ‘Homo-fascism’ and defined it as a form of extreme left-wing, regressive radicalism which seeks to establish rigid authoritarian controls over all public discourse and government policies regarding sexual norms and proprieties, and to enact punitive measures against conscientious objectors that would punish or suppress all disapproval of homosexuality and related sexual behaviors (that would of course even though they deny it, quickly include a sexual indoctrination and exploitation of children). In the coming months and years Russia and Her people will be increasingly portrayed by emotion laden and abusive hyperbole as bigoted haters, intent on exterminating homosexuals. Indeed, the propaganda campaign on that theme has already been initiated, with video footage purporting to show Russian neo-Nazis beating homosexuals now being circulated on the Internet, along with the false implication that this is the intent of your policy.”

Other American evangelical leaders mentioned in the HRC report also travel to other nations to help them in the global resistance to the gay agenda intensely promoted by the U.S. government.

HRC and other U.S. radical homosexualist groups are very sure that they can keep ravaging conservative Christian efforts, even in the land of Billy Graham. But they are fearful about the resistance from other nations.

Russia, which recently held an international pro-family congress at the Kremlin, is an example. Other examples are coming…

Pro-business socialists versus anti-business socialists

Wayne Madsen, an investigative journalist whose research on security issues I first knew in my favorite conservative website WND, tackles the skyrocketing rise of Marina Silva, a radical environmentalist, socialist who is the most likely candidate to defeat the socialist incumbent, Dilma Rousseff, in the Brazilian presidential election.

Madsen has some interesting points, but in other respects he fails to see what is obvious for us Brazilian conservatives. For example, he said, “Rousseff’s defeat would signal a victory for the Obama administration’s covert activities to eliminate from the scene progressive presidents throughout Latin America.”

Well, why would progressive Obama want to eliminate his progressive counterparts in Latin America? The standard, according to Madsen, seems to be “pro-business” versus “anti-business” — and the U.S. champions business. So if a progressive president in Latin America is opposed to the big businesses of the progressive U.S. president, he will be opposed by the U.S. government. On the other side, if a Latin American progressive president advocates abortion and homosexuality, he will face no opposition from his counterpart in the White House. The avid pro-sodomy and pro-abortion policies of Rousseff have never faced any opposition from the U.S. government. She is facing it only over business issues.

Madsen also seems to think that “socialist” and “pro-business” are strange bedfellows.

If “pro-business” does not qualify a socialist to be a socialist, then China, with its thousands of American factories, certainly is not socialist in this definition. But the truth is, China is rabidly socialist and a great and privileged commercial U.S. ally.

Socialists in Brazil may have varied nuances to address economics, but their approach to fundamental moral issues is basically equal. In words and political actions, they have advocated, in a greater or lesser degree, abortion and the gay agenda, especially gay “marriage,” the way the Western socialists do.

Madsen says that Marina Silva is “pro-Israeli.” What is his basis for such statement? He seems to dislike Israel. Al Jazeera, a Muslim news site not known for sympathies for Israel, has reported sympathetically about Silva. No mention about “pro-Israeli” stances of Silva.

The apparent anti-Israel stance of Madsen makes no sense, because George Soros, denounced by him as behind of the rise of progressive individuals like Silva and, consequently, the “destabilization” of the Brazilian election, is equally investing in the destabilization of the traditional evangelical support of Israel. He successfully invested in the destabilization of Ukraine. Such is his power. As usually leftists do, Soros puts his anti-Israel socialist ideology above his Jewish heritage. Similarly, Silva puts her socialist ideology above her Christian faith.

I talked to Midnight Call in Brazil, the biggest pro-Israel group in Brazil, and they know nothing about a “pro-Israeli” Silva. Besides, her political allies are anti-Israel socialists.

Perhaps Madsen supposed that because Marina Silva is a member of a Pentecostal church — the Assemblies of God —, it follows that she is naturally pro-Israel as are most of the Brazilian Pentecostals. Yet, her original religious roots come from most popular form of Catholicism in Brazil: Liberation Theology, which is anti-Israel.

This theology is very common among Catholics in Brazil, which is the largest Catholic nation in the world. But it is not common among Pentecostals. Usually, people who have a conversion in the Assemblies of God are required to abandon their past life, including Catholicism and Liberation Theology. There is no explanation for what happened in Silva’s case and why her popular Catholic Marxism has been allowed to survive her religious conversion to Pentecostalism.

My e-book “Theology of Liberation versus Theology of Prosperity” says, “Marina Silva, who today is a member of the Assembly of God in Brasília, brags that she knew the ‘living Gospel’ in Liberation Theology that she learned from Leonardo Boff, one of the most important propagandists of that theology in Brazil. Boff and his theology were officially condemned by the Vatican during the papacy of John Paul 2nd, but that official condemnation didn’t keep Silva from following the man and his theology” (p. 12). Boff is her counselor.

Marina Silva complained about the “wave of conservatism” that almost defeated Dilma Rousseff in the 2010 presidential election. The conservative wave was the expression of strong Christian feelings against abortion and homosexuality. Instead of a staunch stance against the blatantly pro-abortion and homosexualist history and positions of Rousseff and the Workers’ Party, Silva, in her “Open Letter to Presidential Candidates Rousseff and Serra”, criticized openly what she saw as “that obstinate conservatism that colonizes the Brazilian politics and sacrifices any Utopia on behalf of a limitless pragmatism” (p. 16).

Her political background is the same as Rousseff’s: the ruling socialist Workers’ Party. She would qualify to be a Brazilian female version of Jim Wallis.

Madsen’s analysis has just one conclusion: the U.S. will only support “pro-business” (a.ka. pro-U.S.) progressives.

My opinion is that Brazil should get rid of both (pro and anti-U.S.) progressives. And America should also get rid of her progressive occupier in the White House.

About CIA killing individuals who are an inconvenience to the interests of the U.S. government, I recommend the book “Target: Patton: The Plot to Assassinate General George S. Patton,” which shows how the CIA predecessor may have been the responsible for the murder of Patton, who wanted the overthrow of the Soviet Union. In fact, this book shows CIA and its predecessor killing many other (innocent or not) enemies of the interests of the U.S. government.

Don’t get me wrong: I am not opposed if the U.S. government and the CIA kill the bad guys. There is information that when the military overthrew communists in Brazil in the 1960s, the U.S. government helped them. But the current U.S. administration is betraying the anti-communist military and helping only Brazilian progressives to bolster the interests of “pro-business” American progressives.

Now the war is not about communists versus conservatives. It is pro-U.S. progressives versus anti-U.S. progressives. It is “pro-business” American progressives against “anti-business” foreign progressives.

Interestingly, Madsen makes no mention of the massive and unified socialist obsession for the promotion of abortion and homosexuality. Do economic issues matter more for him than moral and ethical issues? Obama and Rousseff have no disagreement about imposing their progressive abortion and homosexual ideologies. Their disagreements are just economic. In other respects, they are “family” — a progressive family.

Now read the Madsen analysis having in mind what the Bible says:

All factors point to CIA aerially assassinating Brazilian presidential candidate

The plane crash that killed Brazilian presidential candidate Eduardo Campos, who was running in second place behind incumbent President Dilma Rousseff, has severely harmed Rousseff’s chances for re-election. Campos’s successor on the ticket, former Green Party leader Marina Silva, a George Soros puppet, now stands a very good chance of unseating Rousseff in an expected run-off election. Rousseff’s defeat would signal a victory for the Obama administration’s covert activities to eliminate from the scene progressive presidents throughout Latin America.

A review of post-World War II history reveals that of all the many ways intelligence services have used to eliminate political and economic threats, murder by plane crash rank in second place, just ahead of automobile accidents and poisoning, and only behind the use of firearms and munitions, as the Central Intelligence Agency’s favorite modus operandi for political assassination.

The aerial assassinations of United Nations Secretary General Dag Hammarskjold, Rwandan President Juvenal Habyarimana, Burundian President Cyprien Ntaryamira, Portuguese Prime Minister Francisco sá Carneiro, Pakistani President Muhammad Zia Ul-Haq, prospective Indian Prime Minister Sanjay Gandhi, American United Auto Workers’ Union President Walter Reuther, former Texas Senator John Tower, and Minnesota Senator Paul Wellstone all bore the markings of the involvement of one or more U.S. intelligence agencies in putting ends to political careers that threatened the underpinnings of Imperial America.

Latin America, in particular, has been plagued by plane crashes that have killed two leaders who were determined to pull away from American political influence, President Jaime Roldos Aguilera of Ecuador and President Omar Torrijos of Panama. Both leaders died in 1981, with Roldos dying just a few months before Torrijos. John Perkins, the author of «Confessions of an Economic Hitman» and a former member of the U.S. intelligence community, fingered the United States in both plane crash assassinations.

This background of U.S. involvement in aerial assassinations makes the August 13 crash of the Cessna 560XLS Citation aircraft in Santos, Brazil, which killed pro-business Brazilian Socialist Party presidential candidate Campos, his aides, and the crew, all that more suspicious, The timing of the crash, during an election campaign that had favored an easy victory for Rousseff, has raised significant questions among Brazilian investigators and the general public. 

Since its introduction in 1996, the Cessna 560XLS Citation model has enjoyed a perfect safety record. The sudden death of Campos upended the Brazilian presidential election campaign in a manner that may benefit the United States and the Central Intelligence Agency's long-range agenda for Latin America.

Disturbing questions are being raised about the ownership of the aircraft bearing the tail number PR-AFA. The plane's murky record of owners and registration, along with the lack of cockpit voice recordings thanks to an apparent malfunction in the plane's cockpit voice recorder, has a number of Brazilians wondering whether the plane was sabotaged by the United States. Rather than having the recording of the conversations of Campos's flight crew, the recorder only had the voice recordings from a previous flight.

The plane was flying en route from Rio de Janeiro-Santos Dumont Airport to Guaruja when it crashed in a residential area of Santos.

The plane was operated by AF Andrade Enterprises and Holdings, which is based in Ribeirão Preto in Sao Paulo state, but leased from Cessna Finance Export Corporation, a division of Textron, a major U.S. defense and intelligence contractor. Cessna is a division of Textron. The malfunctioning cockpit voice recorder was manufactured by another U.S. defense and intelligence contractor, L-3 Communications. AF Andrade's business is centered on its ownership of a distillery. A spokesman for AF Andrade said the $9 million aircraft had not been recently inspected but stressed that it had a perfect maintenance record.

However, the spokesman for AF Andrade could not specifically state who owned the aircraft but admitted that it, but likely only the lease, was up for sale and had recently been purchased by a group of «factory owners and importers» from Pernambuco. Campos was a former governor of Pernambuco.

The purchasers turned out to be a consortium that included Bandeirantes Tires, Ltd. The tire company said that negotiations on transferring ownership were ongoing when the plane crashed and that Cessna Finance Export Corporation had not yet approved the final leasing rights. Brazilian observers believe the Cessna that crashed was a «ghost plane», with murky ownership in order to cover up the plane's use for covert operations involving the CIA. Similar planes with spotty ownership and registration records were used by the CIA to rendition kidnapped Muslims for interrogation and imprisonment at American «black sites» around the world.

The U.S. National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) sent a team to Brazil to investigate the plane crash. However, if the NTSB’s performance on such crashes as TWA 800 and American Airlines 587 is any indication, the agency only excels at cover-ups of criminal actions.

Campos was replaced on the ticket by Silva, who is a darling of the Soros-financed and directed globalization and «civil society» movement. Silva, who is a pro-Israeli adherent of the Assemblies of God Pentecostal church, is much more pro-business and pro-American than Rousseff of the left-leaning Brazilian Workers' Party. Recently, Rousseff, along with her fellow BRICS leaders from Russia, India, China, and South Africa, created a new development bank that challenges the supremacy of the U.S.-run World Bank. The creation of the bank infuriated Washington and Wall Street.

Silva, who may be enjoying more than a mere sympathy vote, recently gained in polls against Rousseff. The Brazilian president is seen by Washington as an adversary, especially after details were leaked by Edward Snowden of massive National Security Agency surveillance of the Brazilian president. 

If Rousseff were forced into a run-off with Silva as either first or second-place finisher in the first round, Aecio Neves, of the conservative Social Democratic Party has stated he would endorse Silva if he comes in third. The political arithmetic could then spell trouble for Rousseff, who would have likely glided to victory had it not been for Silva's advancement to the head of the Socialist Party ticket.  Silva's vice presidential running mate is Beto Albuquerque, whose «civil society» credentials in consumer and human rights protection indicates a Soros «upbringing».

The current polls for the October 5 first round is Rousseff with 36% of the vote, Silva with 21%, and Neves with 20%. However, with Neves out of the race in the scheduled October 26 second round, some polls show Silva beating Rousseff 47% to 43% while others show Silva defeating Rousseff by a staggering 9%. Of course, opinion polls are no longer independent but corporate and Western intelligence agency contrivances used to sway public opinion and engage in the «predictive programming» of entire populations.

The favorable outcome for Silva as a result of the possible aerial assassination of Campos and his aides has many suspicious about the CIA's role in the plane crash, especially after CIA fingerprints were discovered on presidential aerial assassinations of Torrijos and Roldos in 1981. Just this past February, the presidential helicopter normally used by Ecuadorian president Rafael Correa, a strong opponent of Washington's policies and an ally of Rousseff, crashed in the mountains on a flight from Guayaquil to Quito. Correa's personal pilot was killed in the crash. Correa, who was addressing a campaign rally at the time of the crash, stressed that he was not scheduled to be on the flight of the Indian-made Dhruv helicopter. However, the suspicion of CIA sabotage could not be suppressed among the Ecuadorian population. 

Silva is being touted as Brazil's «Third Way» candidate. Third Way is an international movement that has been used by corporate politicians, many of them financed by Soros, to infiltrate and take over historically pro-labor, socialist, and progressive parties. The Third Ways' most notable politicians include Bill Clinton, Tony Blair, Germany’s Gerhard Schroeder, Canada's Justin Trudeau, French Prtesident Francois Hollande, French Prime Minister Manuel Valls, Italy's Prime Minister Matteo Renzi and former Prime Minister Romeo Prodi, Portugal's Jose Socrates, Israel's Ehud Barak, and officials of the Brazilian Socialist, Green, and Social Democratic parties, including Silva, Neves, the late Eduardo Campos, and former President Fernando Henrique Cardoso. However, when it becomes advantageous to assassinate one Third Wayer in order to promote another, there is no problem to eliminate someone like Campos in order to make way for a more popular (and controlled) politician like Silva, especially when the interests of Israel and Wall Street are at stake.

The Cessna carrying Portuguese Prime Minister Sá Carneiro, which crashed while the prime minister was flying to a re-election rally in Porto, destroyed the leftist Democratic Alliance’s future prospects because the two Sá Carneiro loyalists who succeeded him lacked his charisma. Eventually, Mario Soares, a Third Way and pro-NATO «socialist-in-name-only», a «SINO», became prime minister and ushered Portugal down the path of «Third Way» subservience to a united Europe and globalization. The ambassador to Portugal at the time of Sá Carneiro’s death was CIA officer Frank Carlucci, whose fingerprints were on the 1961 assassination of former Prime Minister Patrice Lumumba in the Congo. Carlucci became deputy director of the CIA, and National Security Adviser and Defense Secretary under President Ronald Reagan. Carlucci is also the chairman emeritus of the CIA-connected Carlyle Group. The suspicious death of Campos in Brazil appears to be a carbon copy of the CIA’s quick dispatch of Sá Carneiro, with Rousseff the ultimate target of the action and Silva and her globalist backers as the beneficiaries.

Brazil to Host World’s Biggest Pro-Palestine Event

The “World Social Forum - Free Palestine” meets in Porto Alegre, Brazil, from 28 November to 1st December 2012, in light of stormy changes known as “the Arab Spring,” where Muslim governments have been replaced by radical Islamic governments, with dire consequences for Christian populations in these nations.

The organizers of the massive pro-Palestine forum have thanked the Brazil government for hosting it, and they regard it “as a crucial and extraordinary landmark in a process that will widen support” for the Palestinian struggle to exercise what they consider a “Palestinian inalienable right: an independent state with Jerusalem as its capital”.

Support from Liberal Christians and Jews

WSF Free Palestine boasts that its event has the official support from “prominent theological figures and the World Council of Churches”.

Leonardo Boff, the most prominent liberation theology advocate in Brazil, has showed his support for the WSF Free Palestine. He said, “It is our duty to be on the side of the Palestinians.”

Nancy Cardoso, a Methodist minister from CEBI (Ecumenical Bible Center) in Rio Grande do Sul, said, “We see the WSF Free Palestine as a key space to give voice to our Palestinian brothers and sisters.”

Liberal religious authorities from Israel and other nations have confirmed their presence, including Jewish theologian professor Marc Ellis, an American author and liberation theologian activist.

Delegations from 36 countries from all five continents have already registered for the World Social Forum Free Palestine turning this event into the largest gathering of solidarity for the Palestine cause. Delegations from the following countries have confirmed their presence: South Africa, Germany, Argentine, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Ecuador, Scotland, Spain, United States, Philippines, France, Ghana, Guinea, India, England, Iran, Israel, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Lebanon, Norway, Palestine, Pakistan, Paraguay, Democratic Republic of Congo, Senegal, Swaziland, Togo, Tunisia, Uruguay and Venezuela.

Radical Speakers

Among international speakers are:

Ronnie Kasrils (born 15 November 1938) is a South African politician. He was a member of the African National Congress (ANC) as well as a member of the Central Committee of the South African Communist Party (SACP). He is one of the most eloquent speakers against Israel and an advocate for a Palestinian state.

Angela Yvonne Davis (born January 26, 1944) is an Afro-American and prominent leader of the Communist Party USA. She was the director of the Feminist Studies department at the University of California, Santa Cruz. Her expertise is feminism, African American studies and Marxism. Her membership in the Communist Party led to Ronald Reagan’s request in 1969 to have her barred from teaching at any university in the State of California. She was one the suspects in the abduction and murder of Judge Harold Haley in 1970. She is the author of nine books and has lectured throughout the United States as well as in Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia, and South America.

Aims

In its event in Brazil, the “World Social Forum - Free Palestine” aims to:

1) Defending the right of the Palestinian people to fight Israel.

2) Strengthening and expanding involvement in the global, Palestinian-led campaign of boycott, divestment and sanctions (BDS) against Israel. This campaign, which encompasses boycotts of and divestments from Israeli and international companies, has already been embraced by US mainline Protestant denominations, including Presbyterian, Lutheran and Anglican.

3) Making the WSF Free Palestine a platform for building BDS strategies against Israel and in particular for ending free trade agreements between Israel and other countries or groups of countries (such as the European Union, Mercosur, etc.).

4) Recognizing and supporting the struggle of progressive Jews everywhere, particularly those who support the creation of a Palestinian state.

5) Supporting Palestinian resistance against Israel.

6) Launching effective public information campaigns to encourage the media in exposing and condemning Israel.

Strategic Location

The “World Social Forum - Free Palestine” chose Brazil for its massive event because of its politically strategic importance. Two years ago, former socialist Brazilian President Luiz Inácio “Lula” da Silva officially acknowledged Palestine as a national state. His successor, Dilma Rousseff, has kept his Palestinian advocacy.

The forum will happen in Porto Alegre, in the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul, where the ruling Workers’ Party has a stronghold. The Evangelical Church of the Lutheran Confession in Brazil, with its 700,000 members, has also a stronghold in this state.

This Brazilian Lutheran denomination has had a crucial role in the liberation theology advocacy and a former president, who is a prominent leader in the World Council of Churches, was implicated in Soviet schemes decades ago, according to an exposé by FrontPageMag.

Yet, more strategic is the region. Porto Alegre is near the Triple Frontier (Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay), where terrorist groups like Egypt’s al-Gama’a al-Islamiyya, Islamic Jihad, Hezbollah, and Al Qaeda draw some of their funding.
