Homeschooling Family Face Deportation by the US Government

The US government is contesting a court decision that had granted asylum to a homeschooling family from Germany. US officials argue that the German Christian family, who were suffering religious persecution from German officials, should be deported back to Germany.

Uwe and Hannelore Romeike fled Germany in 2008 after authorities fined them thousands in euros and forcibly took their children because they homeschool. In 2010, a U.S. immigration judge granted the Romeikes political asylum — the first time this status was granted based on compulsory schooling laws. The judge found the family had legitimate fear of persecution in Germany, where a small group of Christian homeschooling families have already been jailed, fined, and stripped of their children. 

But the Department of Homeland Security immediately disputed the judge’s decision. Attorney General Eric Holder has also entered the dispute, arguing Germany’s ban on homeschooling fails to violate the family’s fundamental rights. 

Is religious freedom no longer important for America? Apparently not, especially if the victim is a follower of Jesus Christ.

Weeks ago Secretary of State John Kerry was barely off the plane in Germany before he embarrassed the Pilgrims and American founders with what is perhaps the worst statement on religious freedom ever offered. Kerry said the United States protects religious freedom because “In America, you have a right to be stupid.”

This is a very interesting statement coming from the US government. The US State Department has not only made homosexual rights its top priority, but it has also been advocating them around the world. And if Third World nations do not accept them, US aid is denied. America is determined to impose her homosexual imperialism on the world because she sees sexual perversion as more important than persecution of Christians. And if you do not see such interests as top priority, the US cultural warfare machine will label you “stupid.”

The problem is that the Romeikes did not flee Germany because of such interests. They fled because the German government is insistent on its defense of an old Third Reich law banning homeschooling. The Nazi law is being used now to persecute Christian families who homeschool their children.

If forced to return to their native Germany, the Christian family faces huge fines and criminal penalties, and could lose custody of their five school-age children.

Michael Farris, founding chairman of the Home School Legal Defense Association, is suing the US Department of Justice on behalf of the Romeikes. He said, “I really wonder what would’ve happened to the Pilgrims under this administration.”

The Pilgrims are very fortunate not to be alive today to apply for asylum in America. Fortunately for them, they arrived at America in a non-politically correct century.

They wanted America to be a safe harbor for persecuted Christians. Instead, America has increasingly become a safe harbor for homosexual activists from other nations. I have read about gay activists from Brazil who were granted asylum by asserting that there is persecution of gays in Brazil.

The Brazilian government bestows millions on gay groups and their political projects. They have government, media and other powerful institutions — even the United Nations — prostrated at their feet. In contrast, Christians preaching against their filthy behavior are threatened and persecuted by the Brazilian government and media.

Even so, Brazilian homosexuals are able to get asylum in America.

In today’s “free America” (free for sodomy), only gay Pilgrims would be welcome. Immigration officials would ask them, “Why are you coming to America?”

And they might respond, “Because the Brazilian government has refused to grant us billions of dollars for our comprehensive cause of societal change. We have received only a few millions. This is persecution! This is ‘homophobia!’”

Yet, the sheer stupidity is not Brazilian gays being granted asylum to join their American lovers in America and increase their power for ideological militancy. The right to be stupid, according to Kerry, belongs to people hungry for freedom to worship God and homeschool their children, not to depraved individuals hungry for filthy homosexual sex acts.

In this progressive view, the love of anal sex makes one a bright and intelligent individual, deserving a welcome in America to enjoy all her benefits.

In this view, the Pilgrims — and any Christian faithful to the Lord Jesus Christ and His Word — are just stupid.

Please pray for the Romeike family. They came to America in the wrong century!

Chen Guangcheng, a pro-life activist in China, made the fatal mistake of seeking help from the US Embassy in China.

He was under house arrest in his home province, but other human rights activists made enormous sacrifices, risking their lives to elaborate a plan for him to flee to the US Embassy, where everyone thought refuge was guaranteed.

Everyone hoped he would ask for asylum, but the developments, unfolding in view of the international media, took an untoward turn. Chen, who is blind from childhood and has health problems after years of prison and torture, was promised by American authorities that he could stay in China and receive medical treatment, with an American companion present at all times.

As reported by the press and the US Embassy, Chen himself “wanted” to stay in China. This “decision” freed Hillary Clinton from diplomatic and commercial complications during her visit to China. After all, America has immense commercial interests in China, and Chen was being a thorn in the side for the Chinese and American governments.

Hillary was satisfied with the Chen’s “decision” not to seek asylum, saying that his exiting the embassy reflected his “choices” and the “values” of the USA. Meanwhile, the American officials breathed a sigh of relief at being able to return this thorny problem back to the Chinese!

However, after his transfer to a hospital in Peking, no American official stayed with him. The American commitment, made to a desperate soul, was insincere.

“They pressed me to leave, they promised that there would be people with me in the hospital, but when I entered my room, I perceived that everybody had left,” Chen revealed, according a report by the Brazilian newspaper Estadão.

When contacted at the hospital by the international media, he admitted the obvious: he could not request asylum from the US government, because his family was under a direct death threat and he was under pressure. According to his statement, if he dared to leave for America, Chinese authorities would have killed his wife and children.

Embassy officials were indifferent and evasive, stating they had not heard about any threat or pressure on Chen. Evidently, according to them, the entire sacrifice made for Chen to arrive at the embassy was just a noble gesture, sort of a way of saying “hi” to the Americans. Nothing else. After six days of being sheltered in the embassy and saying “hi,” at last the Chinese activist “chose” to leave and to stay in his homeland, to the relief of the Chinese and American governments,.

Chen’s “choice” greatly pleased the US government, because Chen is not the kind of activist that American authorities would have wanted to help. Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton are shamelessly pro-abortion, while Chen is pro-life.

Any individual, no matter how important, who is cruel enough to defend the murder of innocent unborn babies is capable of committing any other sin, including deceiving and lying to a poor, oppressed blind Chinese man who sees more of the true value of life than most representatives of the Chinese and American governments.

The communist government in China had always lied to the Chinese people and to Chen. And now Chen has the unpleasant experience of enduring attitudes that are not very different and total abandonment by a government that claims to stand for human rights, a government he had supposed was radically different from his.

But what would have happened if the US government had not been deceptive and if Chen had been granted asylum in the US? Would he have pursued his cause of denouncing the crime of abortion? In that case, the aim of the accusations would have been US officials themselves. This would certainly have been a major problem!

The kind of human rights work carried out by Chen doesn’t have the US government’s sympathy.

For 39 years, pro-abortion law has reigned in what was until recently the biggest evangelical nation in the world. If it is horrific for a communist nation like China to defend abortion tooth and nail, what about an evangelical nation?

The fact is, self-proclaimed “evangelicals” Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Bill Clinton and other powerful American officials have no any interest in rescuing men that publicly plead for the rescue of the unborn.

Chen’s presence in the US Embassy in Peking was an inconvenience. His presence in America as a prominent pro-life activist would be a bigger inconvenience.

And yet if Chen were a homosexual activist, his presence in the embassy would be welcomed. Obama and Clinton would be highly supportive. In fact, since December of 2011, US embassies and consulates have been ordered by government to grant preferential treatment to gay activists.

For the US government, meeting homosexual demands is vastly more important than stopping the murder of unborn babies!

Disoriented and desperate, Chen doesn’t know what to do, except to direct appeal to the nation that was insincere and unfair to him: “I would like to ask to president Obama, I beg him, to do everything he can so that our family may leave.”

Perhaps, under pressure from the countless pro-life Americans, Obama may still act against his own pro-abortion conscience and give a chance to a defenseless Chinese surrounded by oppressors in the service of the State. Perhaps.

However, certainly, his oppression will not end in America, where pro-life activists are viciously arrested by police for the “crime” of praying in front of an abortion clinic, while murderous physicians and employees serenely kill babies under the protection of a law that, in many respects, is no better than Nazi law, which relegated Jews and other defenseless human beings to a class worthy of extermination. In America, unborn babies fall in that unhappy category.

If he wants help from the US government, Chen will need to pray, fast and wait for a long time until a new Ronald Reagan appears. But if he wants help from higher up, he won’t need to wait for decades or centuries, because God says:

“Do not trust influential people, mortals who cannot help you. When they breathe their last breath, they return to the ground. On that day their plans come to an end. Blessed are those who receive help from the God of Jacob. Their hope rests on the LORD their God, who made heaven, earth, the sea, and everything in them. The LORD remains faithful forever. He brings about justice for those who are oppressed. He gives food to those who are hungry. The LORD sets prisoners free. The LORD gives sight to the blind. The LORD straightens the backs of those who are bent over. The LORD loves righteous people.” (Psalms 146:3-8 GWV)

A homosexual from Saudi Arabia had his asylum request denied by the Obama administration.

The Jerusalem Post reported that Ali Ahmad Asseri “argued that if he returned to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia he would face execution because the country’s radically fundamental form of Islam mandates the death penalty for same-sex relations.”

Reportedly, the Obama administration denied the asylum to “avoid disrupting US-Saudi relations”. Annoying wasps is less dangerous than annoying a Muslim nation!

Is not the Obama administration the most radically pro-sodomy government in the US and world history? Has not the US government under this pro-Muslim president committed itself to fight “homophobia” whenever and wherever it appears?

To grant asylum to Asseri would show to the Muslim world that the Obama administration is serious about its world policies equaling sodomy to human rights.

Contrary to many asylum seekers, Asseri did not lie: Saudi Arabia really executes homosexuals. Poor Asseri! To tell truth did not help him.

In contrast, Brazilian homosexual Augusto Pereira de Souza, 27, had no such hardship to be granted asylum by the Obama administration. Enough for him was to allege that “Brazil is one of the most violent countries against homosexuals”. Nothing else than falsehood was necessary to get him asylum.

In spite of Pereira’s charges against Brazil as a threat to gays, Asseri could freely and safely live in Brazil. In fact, his troubles to get US asylum have been reported by a Saudi-American blogger and journalist based in Brazil, the “homophobic” country. In Saudi Arabia, Asseri and the journalist defending him would be treated very differently than the Brazilian government and society would do.

On the other hand, Souza is free to criticize and enter Brazil. As in the US, in Brazil media and government agencies are brazenly pro-sodomy and criticism against Christians and their “homophobia” is widespread and most welcome — as long as such criticism is directed exclusively to Christians, never to Muslims. What Souza cannot do is to criticize and enter Saudi Arabia. To enter there would spell his doom. At least, it would change his mind about “Brazil as one of the most violent countries against homosexuals”.

If Saudi Arabia were as Christian as Uganda is, it would be easier for the US to charge it of “homophobia” and grant asylum to the Saudi gay. Christians are always fair game for dishonest charges. But the US cannot afford giving similar treatment to Saudi Arabia, which is so radically against sodomy as the US is radically for it.

Stuart Appelbaum, a prominent gay activist in New York, said that if the Obama administration refuses to grant asylum to Ali Ahmad Asseri because it is afraid of the Saudi reaction, then the US will become complicit in his fate. “It is exactly because of how Ahmad might be treated on his return to his homophobic and brutal land that the United States should grant him refuge,” he said.

As far as Saudi Arabia and its Islamic law are concerned, the Obama administration will never sacrifice its economic interests with Muslim nations to defend sodomy as a human right. This is why it finds safer to grant asylum to a lying Brazilian homosexual than to a truthful Saudi homosexual. Between defending a perverted sexual act and not offending Muslim allies, the latter is priority diplomatic safe sex for a US radically committed to protect the former.

When homosexuality hits its international relations with Muslim nations, the US government commitment is not to annoy its gay-executing, Muslim allies.
