Doctor Doolittle’s Mosque and the Nudist Neo-Pagan Who Talked to Demons

Doctor Doolittle’s Mosque and the Nudist Neo-Pagan Who Talked to Demons

By Julio Severo
As a little boy, I used to watch the cartoon “Doctor Doolittle,” produced in 1970 by DePatie-Freleng, which also produced the famous cartoon “Pink Panther.”
In “Doctor Doolittle,” I remember the animals. But I do not remember anything Islamic in the cartoon.

So I was very surprised that the 2020 movie “Doolittle,” starring Robert Downey Jr., had a huge mosque, portrayed in several angles, as the central building in a fantasy island that was the original home of that new Doctor Doolittle. The big powerful mosque, built in a European style in its brick base, was a sign that the island was Islamic and that this new Doctor Doolittle was also Muslim.

I know that Hollywood loves Islam and always portrays it in very positive light. But cannot children be spared such deceptive propaganda?

Downey, who was executive producer of “Doolittle,” said that he inspired his character in a Welsh nudist neo-pagan physician called William Price, who allegedly could communicate with all spirits of nature and other spirits. The Bible calls these “spirits” demons. He said also that he used Price as an inspiration in his Marvel character Iron Man too. But he never explained why he put a mosque prominently in his movie or why he presented Doctor Doolittle as a Muslim.

Still wondering why Downey would put a mosque in “Doolittle,” I decided to watch the 1967 movie “Doctor Doolittle,” starring Rex Harrison, to see if there was some huge mosque. After more than 2 hours watching and searching, searching and searching, I found no mosque and no Islamic sign of any kind in this old movie. So where did Downey get his inspiration for a mosque in his child movie?
What did he try to communicate with such prominent mosque in a child movie? That mosques and their ideology are innocent and proper for children?
What responsible people, especially people with media power, should do is to inform adults and children that Islam is not a religion of peace. Terrorists moved by this religion committed the biggest terror attack against the United States. The 9/11 attack was committed 100 percent by Muslims, most of them Saudis.
If Hollywood has no interest in what Islam has done against America, why ignore the about 100,000 Christians martyred year by year especially by Muslims?
This is a very cruel reality. Children should not be spared such reality. They should be protected from deceptive propaganda portraying Islam as an innocent fantasy. It is a murderous fantasy that has shed Christian blood for centuries. The Armenian Genocide is just one of the many blood stains in the history of Islam.
No ideology in human history killed so many people as Islam did. While communism killed 100 million people, Islam killed 600 million people. It should be banned. The lack of courage to ban this murderous ideology has resulted in the increase of mosques in the United States.
Yet, how is Robert Downey Jr. going to be worried about what Islam has done against America and Christians around the world if he is inspired by a crazy nudist neo-pagan who spent his day talking to demons?

Beware the Traditionalist School, the Esoteric Sect that Uses Anti-Marxism to Promote Religious Syncretism and the Personality Cult of Its Leaders

Beware the Traditionalist School, the Esoteric Sect that Uses Anti-Marxism to Promote Religious Syncretism and the Personality Cult of Its Leaders

By Julio Severo
When Christians hear of Traditionalists they think in terms of Christians guarding their traditions, or cultural customs of guarding traditions. Very few people know that there is a spiritualist or esoteric sect devoted to political ambitions also engaged in traditionalism. This sect is called the Traditionalist School.
Members of the Traditionalist School, including Steve Bannon and Olavo de Carvalho, in New York in 2019
A group of traditionalists met in New York in 2019 and a Jewish scholar sought to understand the influence of this sect.
Benjamin Teitelbaum, the Jewish scholar, posed a question to these traditionalists, including Steve Bannon and Olavo de Carvalho, a self-exiled Brazilian immigrant in the U.S.

According to the University of Colorado Boulder,
“Are you a Traditionalist?” he asked, referring to a little-known spiritual sect rooted in notions that time is cyclical, the “dark age” is upon us, and Aryan males inhabit the top of an ancient cosmic hierarchy.
That simple question kick-started a year-long odyssey in which Teitelbaum, an ethnomusicologist-turned-alt-right scholar, recorded more than 20 hours of taped interviews with Bannon and traveled the globe getting to know his Traditionalist contemporaries.
The resulting new book, War For Eternity: Inside Bannon’s Far-Right Circle of Global Power Brokers, out this week, sheds light on a bizarre ultraconservative ideology shared by advisors to populist leaders in Brazil, Russia and Hungary—and the surprising political power they may be wielding.
Teitelbaum’s interest in the Traditionalist School began after he read press reports in 2016 suggesting that Bannon, then chief strategist to President Donald Trump, was reading the works of Traditionalist writer Julius Evola. Since then, Trump expelled Bannon from the White House for opportunism and for leaking confidential information to the press.
According to the University of Colorado Boulder,
Teitelbaum defines Traditionalism as “a bizarre underground and philosophical school with an eclectic if miniscule following.” It hinges on philosophical truths that borrow from many faiths, from Hinduism and Zoroastrianism to the pre-Christian pagan religions of Europe.
Teitelbaum said that different schools of Traditionalists share different beliefs, but many agree on one key themes: “modernism” — especially Marxism — must go in order for the spiritual advance of humanity to occur. This spiritual advance is a mixture involving many faiths, especially Catholicism and Islam.
According to the University of Colorado Boulder,
Through exclusive interviews in esoteric salons and secret meetings with far-right thinkers from rural Virginia [where Olavo de Carvalho lives] to Budapest, Teitelbaum makes the case that this obscure worldview is having a notable impact on global politics today.
He notes that Aleksandr Dugin, who is heavily influenced by Traditionalist works, has had the ear of the Kremlin and Olavo de Carvalho, another Traditionalist thinker, serves as an advisor to Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro.
Even though it is undeniable that Dugin and Carvalho have the same esoteric roots and both are members of the Traditionalist School, I do not know if Teitelbaum’s assessment of Dugin having in the Russian government the same influence Carvalho has in the Brazilian government is correct.
Carvalho, who is Bolsonaro’s special adviser, keeps him and his sons under his esoteric spell.
Even though Dugin is the Russian Carvalho, there is no sign that he keeps the Russian government under the same spell. At least, I can speak of my experience. In 2014, I attended at the Kremlin the greatest conservative conference in Russia. I was with American Jews, Catholics and Protestants, especially from the World Congress of Families. Dugin was not a speaker and he did not even attend the event. No Russian speaker mentioned his name.
There is no news that Dugin has ever received the highest award from the Russian government. Surely, the ideas and movement of Dugin, inspired in the Islamic occultist René Guénon, are a political and spiritual threat, but he was not able so far to achieve the massive influence Carvalho did in the Bolsonaro administration.
If Russian President Vladimir Putin treats Dugin the same way Bolsonaro has treated Carvalho, sooner or later he will see Russia sunk in the same confusions Brazil is facing.
If Dugin had the same spell Carvalho has in Brazil, the greatest conservative conference in Russia, attended by me, would have had the same cult of Dugin’s personality that happened at the CAPC, the greatest conservative conference in Brazil, which Eduardo Bolsonaro used to promote the cult of Carvalho’s personality. In fact, Bolsonaro funded such private event with over $1,200,000 in Brazilian currency directly from the pockets of the Brazilian taxpayers, and such move should have been condemned as unethical because real conservatives do not sacrifice taxpayers to fund their private events. Only socialists do such tax exploitation.
My take is that Russia, the largest Orthodox Christian nation in the world, will fall prey to Dugin or other member of the Traditionalist School, because Orthodox Christians are not much different from Catholics. Brazil, the largest Catholic nation in the world, has already fallen prey to the Traditionalist School through Carvalho.
The U.S., which still maintains a majority of evangelicals in its Christian population, has successfully escaped the traps of the Traditionalist School and its anti-Marxist appeal. Trump expelled Bannon from the White House and surrounded himself with evangelicals.
If Bolsonaro, in the same way, expels his Traditionalist advisers, especially Carvalho, and surrounds himself with evangelicals, there will be hope for Brazil. Putin and Orthodox Christians are not spiritually prepared to avoid in Russia the same bad experience from the Traditionalist School that Catholic Brazil has embraced and that Protestant America has rejected.
The tragedy in Brazil is that Bolsonaro was elected especially by evangelicals, but after election, he chose to fill his administration with Traditionalists connected to Carvalho. That is, evangelicals were politically exploited by Bolsonaro, who now uses the Brazilian government to promote Traditionalism and its adherents. They did not have enough power to elect themselves. So they exploited evangelicals with a conservative speech, but now they promote a larger agenda involving issues not familiar to many people.
According to the University of Colorado Boulder,
“Some of these actors [Bannon, Dugin, Carvalho] who are trying to shape the future of our society are thinking in terms that are so foreign to most educated, thoughtful and engaged people,” he said. “It is time we start paying attention.”
Teitelbaum is right. Most people, even “most educated, thoughtful and engaged people,” are unable to understand the strange and mysterious esoteric sect of the Traditionalist School. American leaders of CAPC who attended the tax-funded Brazilian CAPC were unable to understand that they were used to promote a member of the Traditionalist School and that virtually all the Brazilian speakers at the CAPC Brazil were not representative of the Brazilian conservative movement. They were directly connected to Carvalho. So Traditionalism has in Brazil, as in no other nation, a upper hand, even against real conservatives.
No nation has been so duped and victimized by Traditionalists as Brazil has been — perhaps only Italy under fascist dictator Benito Mussolini, whose adviser and guru was right-wing philosopher Julius Evola, the most prominent disciple of Guénon and the most prominent member of the Traditionalist School. Evola wrote several books against Marxism.
Bannon, Dugin and Carvalho were heavily influenced by Guénon and his esoteric ideas.
Even though Carvalho brags that he had been forming an army of anti-Marxist intellectuals since the 1980s, through investigation Teitelbaum found that Carvalho was involved in an occult Islamic tariqa in the U.S. in the 1980s. This tariqa was involved in sexual scandals. Teitelbaum only did not investigate how Carvalho cheated the U.S. immigration to get a visa as a correspondent from a small Brazilian newspaper that could not afford an international correspondent.
I agree with Teitelbaum: It is time we start paying attention to the spiritualist sect of the Traditionalist School and its members who lure and hijack conservative movements and influence presidents — from Mussolini to Bolsonaro.

Crazy and Sensible Views on the COVID-19 Pandemic

Crazy and Sensible Views on the COVID-19 Pandemic

By Julio Severo
People are highly divided on the COVID-19 pandemic. Let us see some views:
Democrat: It’s bigger than God.
Atheist: Where is God to heal all victims of this pandemic worldwide?
Cessationist Calvinist: Where are charismatics and Pentecostals with the gift of healing to heal all victims of this pandemic worldwide?
Conspiracy theorist: It doesn’t exist! It’s all FakeNews.
Uninformed conservative: It’s a little flu.
Liberal media: busy extolling the pandemic for everyone.
Christian who evangelizes: busy exalting Jesus Christ for everyone.
Pentecostal: I rebuke this virus, in the name of Jesus!
Christian with faith: God is greater.
Calvinist who does not evangelize: Everything has already been predestined. Whoever catches it, caught it. Whoever doesn’t catch it, didn’t catch it.
If replacing God or charismatics and Pentecostals for medicine, atheists and cessationist Calvinists could question in chorus: If medicine is real, why doesn’t it heal all the sick of this pandemic worldwide?
To that, conspiracy theorists with uninformed conservatives could answer in chorus: Heal what? This pandemic does not exist or is a little flu!

Amid Coronavirus Pandemic, a Miraculous Sign of Hope in Brazil

Amid Coronavirus Pandemic, a Miraculous Sign of Hope in Brazil

By Julio Severo
While a war rages in Brazil that politicizes the coronavirus pandemic or COVID-19, with two sides polarizing the problem, there is a group that focuses on the spiritual solution. It is evangelicals who in crises seek God in prayer and fasting.
Translation: Holy Call from Our President Jair Bolsonaro for a National Fast. April 5 Next Sunday. “To all evangelical leaders of our Brazil and their ministries, we call on everyone to this national fast for our nation.”
Many evangelicals are praying and fasting for their families, churches and Brazil. And pastors had long been calling on the people and even asking Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro to proclaim a national fast. Although he is a syncretic Catholic open to all kinds of spirituality, Christian and otherwise, Bolsonaro complied with the request, and issued a proclamation, in a video recorded with several evangelical pastors, especially calling on evangelical leaders for a national fast.
The date of the national fast was Sunday, April 5, 2020. Evangelicals from all over Brazil prayed and fasted. And an extraordinary miracle happened. Official data from Brazil’s Ministry of Health, in its Daily Epidemiological Report on Coronavirus published on April 10, 2020, show deaths from coronavirus decreasing shortly after April 5.
What does the report say about coronavirus deaths until April 5? That these deaths were going up. For example, on April 3, there were 58 deaths. On April 4, 65 deaths. On April 5, 69 deaths.
Yet, the rise not only stopped after that. It reversed itself. On April 6, there were 64 deaths. On April 7, 50 deaths. On April 8, 45 deaths. On April 9, 22 deaths.
While many could attribute this drastic change to coincidences, evangelicals who were called to prayer and fasting know very well that the author of these coincidences is God, who responded mercifully.
Yet, on April 14 the death toll spiked to 200. Did the miracle fail? No. The miracle was a sign that evangelicals need to continue praying and fasting.
The miracle was a sign that God gave that He has the answer to the pandemic. And He can not only heal Brazil of this plague, but also heal its economy that is seriously ill.
He can also heal Brazil of its spiritual illnesses, including witchcraft, idolatry and syncretism that harm a large part of the Brazilian population, bringing ignorance and misery. A nation can only grow and prosper when it follows what the Bible says.
Mercifully, God gave a miracle to Brazil and its president, showing that the solution is not in witchcraft, the occult, idolatry and syncretism. It is in Jesus Christ.
The path of hope that God has opened to solve the coronavirus pandemic and other problems that plague Brazil is to seek Him in prayer and fasting, and other miracles will come.

It Is No Coincidence that COVID-19 Is Happening at Easter

It Is No Coincidence that COVID-19 Is Happening at Easter

By Julio Severo
U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Jerome Adams appeared on CBN News where he said about the COVID-19 pandemic: “No coincidence that this is happening at Easter.”
Under a danger of death, no one has time to think in Easter Bunnies and other fantasies. And if he thinks that COVID-19 is a fantasy itself, only disease and death can dispel it from his mind.
Yet, most people are too worried to give attention to fantasies. This is the reason it is more important than ever to value the Easter season as the season where Jesus was sacrificed as an innocent Lamb to deliver us from eternal death and angels of death.
In the ancient Egypt, God commanded a death plague to chastise Egyptian idolaters, and God’s people were protected by putting the blood of a lamb in their doors and by staying in their houses. They obeyed and were protected.
Jesus is such Lamb in such perilous time. And His blood has power.
Might there be some prophetic meaning in what is happening?  Might God be allowing this epidemic as a consequence of sins of people and nations?
Dr. Mike Evans has commented,
As I was preparing this message in my prayer room, I picked up an old Bible. I have several dozen Bibles, and a note fell out of this old Bible and as I read it, I was trembling and crying. Here is why. It was written in 1986 on a Tuesday. I was having breakfast with a minister by the name of David Wilkerson at the Embassy Suites near the Dallas Fort-Worth Airport. The letter he showed me was addressed to Rev. Richard Dortch who was running PTL under Jim Bakker. It said, “Rev. Dortch, within 12 months from the date of this letter the judgment of God will fall on PTL. You are fornicating with brick and stone. Flee now and repent. Bats will fly through the empty building.” A month later, I was with Dortch, and he mocked David’s letter saying, “if I fornicate it will not be with brick and stone. These attacks aren’t against me or Jim Bakker, they are against God.”
It was exactly 12 months to the day that The Charlotte Observer broke the PTL scandal. Twelve months to the day of Dave Wilkerson’s letter. But he said something else to me that I wrote down. He said, “I see a plague coming on the world and the bars, church, and government shut down. The plague will hit New York City and shake it like it has never been shaken. The plague is going to force prayerless believers into radical prayer, into their Bibles and repentance will be the cry from true men of God in the pulpit. And out of it will come a third Great Awakening that will sweep America and the world.” —David Wilkerson.
Did you see what he just said? The greatest coronavirus plague is in New York City right now, shaking it like it has never been shaken.
What can we do? People need to know that Jesus died to deliver them from sin and hell. Worse than coronavirus is to depart to eternity without Jesus’ salvation. But how will people know about this salvation if we do not speak about what Jesus did on the cross for them?
In 2018, Trump celebrated Easter, Passover… and Easter Bunny, mixing everything as if they were of equal value. I doubt that he will celebrate the useless Easter Bunny in 2020.
Coronavirus is bigger than Easter Bunny and fantasies. But Jesus is bigger than coronavirus and all diseases and death. His blood is powerful to protect and save. So let us run to Him.
In time and out of time, we should proclaim and demonstrate the Gospel of the Kingdom of God, healing the sick and expelling demons, exactly as Jesus taught us.

Terminator’s Dark Feminist Fate

Terminator’s Dark Feminist Fate

By Julio Severo
Not surprisingly, the movie “Terminator: Dark Fate” was a total box office failure at its release in November 2019, even though Arnold Schwarzenegger is a Hollywood icon.
The movie featured women — Linda Hamilton, Mackenzie Davis and Natalia Reyes — as armed warriors fighting with the same physical strength as men against killing humanoid machines.
One of the women, a Mexican, was chosen by Hollywood fate to form a future androgynous army of men and women armed against these machines.
Macho women, and men as mere subordinates to Hollywood feminists. As villains, men are disposable. As characters on the good side — on the side of Hollywood feminists —, they are also disposable, that is, they are easily terminated. The movie makes it appear that women can by themselves solve everything on the basis of muscular strength and weapons against male villains. It is a feminist movie to please feminists’ tantrums and ideological greed.
It is not surprising the feminist flood in Terminator, as its producer, James Cameron, is considered a feminist, who takes pleasure in glorifying women in male roles. He is best known for writing, directing and producing the leftist environmental movie Avatar (2009).
Terminator was therefore created, with its masculinized women, according to the image and likeness of the feminism promoted by Cameron.
Another characteristic in the movie is profanity. There is a lot of foul language — which is the typical behavior of left-wingers. But what to expect from a movie by Cameron, a left-winger?
Cameron was raised in a traditional Protestant home (not open to the supernatural manifestations of the Holy Spirit), and later he became an atheist who seeks to attack Christianity. According to The Hollowverse website:
“Cameron has since attempted to debunk any claims of supernatural miracles in Christianity with his documentary film, The Lost Tomb of Jesus. The film claims to have found the remains of Jesus Christ, Mary Magdalene, and their children. Citing the names on the tombs and DNA evidence, the film seeks to show that Jesus was a regular guy who died and was not resurrected.”
Politically, Cameron is a left-winger who loves the militarism of the neocons in the Republican Party. Arnold Schwarzenegger is the contrary, but basically the same thing. He, who was the governor of ultra-liberal California, is a Republican neocon who likes leftism.
Apparently, then, women in Terminator are neocon left-wing feminists. But why did not Cameron give the central role in his movie to the queen of neocons, Hillary Clinton? As Cameron, Hillary is a left-wing who loves the militarism of neocons. When conservative Republican President George W. Bush invaded Iraq (an action condemned by Trump), then left-wing Democrat Senator Hillary supported the invasion.
With its feminist flavor, “Terminator: Dark Fate” does not once present marriage, family and husband and wife as even remote options for human beings in the future. Nor would it be possible for Cameron to present marriage in a favorable light, since he himself had 4 divorces.
Although he promotes feminism as a way of showing that he respects women’s rights, his 4 divorces are more than enough evidence that he has no respect for them.
His personal relationship with them is as distorted as his propaganda for them in male roles.
Reality is less generous and politically correct. It is, in the view of the male and female feminists, cruel. According to the scenario of the movie itself, the future will have no pharmacies and pharmaceutical companies to produce “contraceptive” drugs — which often cause micro-abortions. Women will then have their sexuality day and night free and open to pregnancy, which is a natural result of sexual activity.
So, the futuristic woman who wants to live the Hollywood style of free sex will have several pregnancies during her lifetime, making it impossible for her to live completely as macho soldiers and other male roles.
A woman who tries to live without marriage in a future without contraceptives will be a prostitute for several men, with pregnancies and children from each of them.
Women who choose marriage will be occupied with the traditional (and fully supported and defended by the Bible) role of caring for their husbands, children and home.
“Terminator: Dark Fate” twists the role of women. If women could be macho by punching men and leading armies of men, God would not have created Eve for Adam. He would have created another Adam.
If men were virtually disposable, as the movie shows, God would have created another Eve for Eve, completely dispensing with Adam.
In the ideologically charged view of Hollywood, women can play the role of boxers very well. And to elevate women to male positions, Hollywood is weakening or even terminating men from all their traditional male roles, especially leadership. For Hollywood, the time has come for women to lead the world in everything, including muscular strength and military actions.
However, God is not dependent on Hollywood and its spiritual and moral failures. Before Hollywood, there was God — Jesus Christ — and long after Hollywood disappears into the dust of oblivion, God will continue as King of the Universe.
In Hollywood’s dying vision, women are neocons, real war machines with no time for home, husband and children, but with plenty of time to have sex with men and punch them. But in God’s view, women can play the role of wife and mother very well without time to be neocons.
“Terminator: Dark Fate” had a deserved failure. It terminated the reality of the differences between women and men. It terminated the reality of marriage for the future. And in the process, it terminated itself as a work of public utility. It has become useless.
I am not surprised, as its director, who loves feminism and divorces against women, has a particular war against Christianity. In fact, the whole of Hollywood is at war with Christianity.
No matter how much Hollywood and its terminators fight against marriage and the differences between men and women to terminate the biological reality that God created, the Creator is greater.
It is impossible to terminate what has already been determined by God. Hollywood will pass away, but God and His Word will remain forever.
